Lids fit semi-snug, dont try picking it up by the lid as it will slip.

We bought these to use in the kitchen, but the weird smell from the wood covers was over powering every time we opened them up, so they sat in the shed for a few months holding non foods.Even now, after 6 months of airing out, the wood still has a faint acrid smell.

You’ll need to seal the wood yourself with some food grade wood wax or oil as the lids and spoons come rough (might even want to give it a quick sand), and the glass is a little thin. Aside from all of that, they’re a good size for the price, very aesthetically pleasing in the kitchen, and are still worth the purchase.
