Service Ideas’ story begins in the 1930s with founder Art Murray and his wife Marie. They opened their first restaurant now in downtown Minneapolis, MN at Murray’s Steakhouse in 1946. MAKES COLD BREW FOR THE WHOLE WEEK!
I DRINK A LOT OF COFFEE AND LOVE MY 2/3RDS WATER PROCESS DECAF + 1/3RD REG STRENGTH COLD BREW. I STRUGGLED/EXPERIMENTED WITH THE 1/2 GALLON AT-THE-TIME JUGS ETC SO I HAD TO SPEND 15 MINUTES/DAY MESSING WITH THE 2 SMALLER MASON JAR RIGS. THIS MACHINE ALLOWS ME TO FIX COFFEE FOR THE WHOLE WEEK PLUS! IT IS MUCH MORE EFFICIENT TOO. I CAN MAKE EXCELLENT 16 OZ CUP FOR $0.75!!!!THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY MINIMALISTIC, BUT ONLY A COUPLE OF HEADSCRATCHES LATER, I WAS IN BUSINESS. I GROUND UP 3 LBS OF COFFEE BEANS (NOW I GOTTA GET A MUCH BIGGER GRINDER) AND SOAKED FOR 16 HOURS ROOM TEMPERATURE. I POURED COFFEE INTO 1/2 GALLON MASON JARS, GOT 2.5 GALLONS OF 200% STRENGTH COFFEE AND WASHED THE GROUNDS BY POURING WATER OVER BASKET FOR ANOTHER 1.5 GALLONS OF 100% STRENGTH COFFEE! I LIKE IT STRONG SO SOME PEOPLE WOULD GET EVEN MORE ACCORDING TO THEIR TASTE.IT IS MOSTLY PLASTIC ETC SO WILL WEAR OUT/BREAK AT SOME POINT OF COURSE. I CHECKED MANUFACTURER WEBSITE. WHILE REPLACEMENT BASKET IS AVAILABLE, OTHER PARTS ARE PIECEMEAL AND REPLACEMENT RESERVOIR IS ALREADY UNAVAILABLE. RESERVOIR DOES NOT STAIN AS ADVERTISED. IT IS EASY TO USE AND CLEAN SO I AM VERY HAPPY WITH OUT OF THE GATE. I AM ORDERING AN EXTRA BASKET AND SPIGOT……NOW AS LONG AS I DON’T DROP AND BREAK THE RESERVOIR…………..
