Does what it is supposed too, pretty useful assistant
I bought it for two purposes, grinding small portions of chutney, and grind small portions of Indian species. It does both very well (chutney comes out pretty even and spices are grinded just fine, but not ultra fine which is ok). It is serving as a smart and quick assistant in our kitchen. We can now smell fresh spices. I think it won’t do heavy duty work, and and we have a separate machine for that and we never tried on it. We don’t dish wash it (just as a preference as blades can get blunt over time in dishwasher and blades on this one are not separate). We love the steel jar provided, it is quick and easy to clean. Small rinse is enough, though we seldom clean grinder (it is not needed for same set of spices). We have not tried coffee as we are not regular coffee drinkers.

A Versatile Kitchen Essential
I bought this grinder primarily for grinding spices, which performs well in that arena.Pros:This grinder truly lives up to its name, handling both coffee beans and spices with ease. Its small size makes it perfect for countertop storage and even travel. The manual operation is straightforward, and the clear display makes it easy to monitor the grinding process. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the removable bowls and blades that are dishwasher safe.Cons:While it grinds both coarse and fine, the lack of adjustable settings might be a drawback for coffee enthusiasts who prefer specific grind sizes. It’s not the quietest grinder on the market, so be prepared for some noise during operation. While stainless steel is durable, some users might prefer ceramic blades for a finer, more consistent grind.Overall:The Secura Electric Coffee Grinder and Spice Grinder is a solid choice for those looking for a versatile, easy-to-use, and portable option. Its compact size and dishwasher-safe components make it a convenient addition to any kitchen. However, the limited grind settings and noise level might be a deterrent for serious coffee aficionados.Would I recommend it?Yes, for casual coffee drinkers and spice enthusiasts who prioritize convenience and portability.

Works well
I purchased this grinder for the purpose of grinding up dried herbs from my garden. I ground up rosemary, which is a very tough plant, sage and oregano. There are 2 cups – one for a coarse grind, one for finer grind. I tried both. I was able to grind up my herbs to fine powder (which is what I wanted)â¦but could have done a coarser grind with the other cup or less time. It was easy to use, easy to clean and takes up minimal space in my cupboard. Good value for the money.

Perfect small grinder for both dry and wet ingredients
Been using this for the past month on both wet and dry ingredients and it has been working well so far. Very low noise and quick. Tried grinding pepper in the dry jar and it worked perfectly within a couple minutes. I did notice that the base got hot by the time the pepper was finely ground. Used the wet jar for ginger, garlic and coconut and it did a very good job. Very useful item to have in your kitchen

Beware Spice Grinder Bowl Issues
I ordered this grinder as an extra. First off, the quality of the bowl is nice. No sharp edges like the KitchenAid. Bowl fits securely into the base, unlike the KitchenAid. The bowl for grinding spices is not the same as the previous model I purchased 19 Aug 2022. The redesigned model does not have the black pad below the blade. On the previous bowl, one blade tip faced up and the other down. On the newer one, both tips face up. I contacted Secura and was eventually sent a replacement bowl. It was the exact, redesigned, same thing. I was contacted by Secura via email “Thank you for providing the pictures. We believe it is exactly the correct replacement grinder bowl. The grinder bowl was slightly redesigned as some customers reported that they would like the black plastic pad removed. The new design improves grinding efficiency and it is easier to clean the bowl. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Warm regards, Secura Customer Service TeamSpice G”. Slightly? How many is some? The bowl was not hard to clean in the first place; soak and just use a toothbrush. It is not more efficient. It took me three times as long or longer to grind as before and still had small clumps. Did Secura even test their own redesign? Obviously not. The grinder was highly rated for what it was designed to do, grind spices, and the original bowl does an amazing job of it. It no longer does that. I received the copycat Shardor today hoping to get the bowl with the black pad. I did not receive the bowl with the black pad. Shardor replaced theirs with the same useless one as Secura. Shardor is going back to Amazon. Secura/Shardor, Please bring back the original grinder bowl like the one I purchased in Aug 2022, or at least make it an available option such as your Replacement Parts Stainless Steel Removable Bowl Set. I do not recommend this “redesigned” grinder bowl. Thank you

Love this Grinder
I recently got the Secura Spice Grinder, and itâs been a fantastic addition to my kitchen! This grinder is powerful and easily grinds everything from whole peppercorns to dried herbs. The adjustable settings let me choose the coarseness I want, whether Iâm prepping a quick dinner or making a special recipe. There are two jars, one for dry grinding and one for wet.I also appreciate how easy it is to cleanâjust a quick rinse, and itâs good to go! The design is sleek and compact, fitting perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space

I bought this to âgrind upâ my freeze dried foods to a powder to make cup-a-soup. My first test was with freeze dried tomato and cheddar cheese soup. Just regular canned soup, freeze dried. I tried the grind and had it on the base long enough that the cup was hot, but the soup chunks werenât reduced much. Then I tried the chop cup. Worked like a charm, about 5 seconds a cup. It came out as a fine powder. Grind is so very fine, but SO slow, at least with this food. I think chop will process almost any food I freeze dry. It save my fingers , probably hours, trying to beat the mass down to a fine enough flake to spoon out the quantity wanted.
