I purchased 4″ Peugeot – Paris u’Select Manual Pepper Mill – Adjustable Grinder per Wirecutter / Cooks Illustrated recommendation a few years ago. It looks nice, but in practice it is a PIA and is super finicky. When it works, its great- but it’s always giving me issues and needs adjustment. Additionally the 4″ model constantly needs refilling.I purchased these on a whim to test a cheap grinder set to use in hospitality settings (hotel and airbnb type stuff) and have been using everyday for months now. These BLOW AWAY the fancy Peugeot. They grind consistently and without issue every time. They are adjustable. And Despite the price they also look and feel pretty decent quality too. They look great with my stainless appliances on the counter. The glass allows me to see fill level easily and they are ample in size so last a while without the need for refill.Highly recommend.

These table sized grinders are the best! They work very well, are easy to operate, create no mess because the product comes out the top versus the bottom. Do not let the wooden base throw you off if it doesn’t match your decor. My husband bought some gold spray paint and in less than 2 minutes, we had a base that matches our dining room! What a fantastic set of grinders. Would highly recommend!

This is my second set of these because after about 5 years, the plastic broke on my old ones. For the money, they work great and they look great. My last set didn’t have the cute wood base to set them in, so I really like that this set came with that. It looks nice on my counter and it has adjustable grind for more fine or coarse.

I chose this hand grinder set because it was the only one I could find on Amazon that included a nice little wooden stand like this. It does what it’s supposed to. They’re not huge, yet they’re much larger the disposable McCormick grinders. I’m not sure how effective the adjustable coarseness really is because it’s hard for me to see a significant difference in the grain size after adjusting, but I don’t have a problem with the size of the salt & pepper particles I get. My only problem is that my roommates also enjoy these grinders, and they’re using all the pepper I bought.

These are short and somewhat stocky. If your hands like that, its perfect. I have smaller working hands, and although it has a slimmer middle, I fantisize with if, ishould have gone with something thinner.Now, for the product, I love how it grinds the salt, there is an adjuster at the bottome, and i have it on fine fine… this makes me feel like i am getting alot of sallt already and really it turns out to be just right. Because it is short, the salt itself makes it feel heavy, so,consider the Oz the container holds and how strong your hands can handle the lift and the twist. (twist is really not bad, but if you have carple tunnel it may aggrevate it each time)
