Some smaller material will get through the sides. Chamomile tea or fine teas get through,

It doesn’t close properly
I never write reviews. Never. But I’m so disappointed in these I felt obligated to share. I only drink loose tea…I love it. And these are not my first tea balls, but these are the first to miss the mark. I’ve had them less than 2 months and they don’t stay shut, so the tea leaves float out. I end up choking on tea leaves and wasting half my tea. I bought 2 and they both do it, so it must be a design flaw. Ugh.

Not as described
The product is fine, but the description of it in not correct. The description says, ‘Infuser measure 7.5″ with 1.5″ by 1.5″ mesh ball.’ From the description, I thought the rim diameter would be 2.5″ and the ball diameter would be 1.5″. The actual ball diameter is not 1.5″, but 2.125″. It’s bigger than specified, but smaller than 2.5″ as given in the title.

It’s very flimsy. Wobbly. I would not recommend but serve it’s purpose

The clamp isn’t completely clamping, there is a gap where there shouldn’t be, a little bit of material gets into the water.
