Beautiful press
All metal and ceramic, no cheap plastic. It isn’t sturdy, but it is pretty, looks great on my desk while I refill my cup and work, and makes a lot of coffee. The screen is just tight enough- be sure to not grind the coffee too fine and stir it before pressing down or it is easy to make a mess of your coffee. It’s everything I wanted, glad I could find it cheaper than Macy’s or Bed and Bath

Fits too loosely to filter grounds well / Made in China
I have tried almost every French Press on Amazon that contains no plastic and sent them all back for fatal flaws. This one is flawed but I can work around it. The filter doesn’t fit the carafe tightly so when you pour the coffee out you get a LOT of grounds in your coffee. I have solved this by pouring through a fine mesh strainer. It’s irritating but manageable. Also very very disappointed to find this is made in China. I may try buying extra screens and see if that helps but the fact of the matter is that there is too much room between the filter and the carafe. Update 11/27/20: I have grown to hate this press. Nothing I do lessens the amount of grounds…I’ve even tried 3 screens. The plunger is simply too narrow. When I pour my coffee I have to pour through a fine mesh strainer 🙁 looking for something else.

Like so many others have said-
This needs a seal/rubber gasket between lid and plunger as lid is not secured and it feels like it would be easy to break. While the pot itself is stylish and well made, and I love the size, the parts of the plunge and filter feel cheap and not completely functional. I have not decided whether I am going to keep this yet, for the price I expected more.

Too fragile
First time I was washing it, I accidently knocked the lid into the side. Cracked into 3 pieces. I know i was a little clumsy there, but the hit wasn’t that hard. This was bought as a replacement for a french brand that we’d been using for years. That one showed much greater robustness.

Not Recommended
Very pretty, but poorly designed. The strainer is too loose, the lid wonât stay on when you pour, and you end up with grounds in the cup. Needs seals around the lid and where the plunger penetrates the lid.

Lid doesnât stay out nor seal
The lid does not have a rubber seal or one at all therefore the lid does not seal nor stay put. If they would have provided a seal then I would say this is the best.

DO NOT BUY!
I was so looking forward to this french press!! but oh my! It was the poorest packaging ever! no bubble wrap or anything to protect it! and it is 100% ceramic! so when I opened the first one it was in 1000 pieces! I returned it hoping to have better packaging next time… and nope! second one came exactly the same! all broken with zero packaging!! It looks amazing in the picture but avoid the dissapointment, do not buy it!

Die Kanne sieht zwar gut aus, ist jedoch nicht einmal richtig zum Gebrauch gekommen da sie undicht gewesen ist. Beim ersten reinigen, per Hand, lief das Wasser unten wieder raus. Habe eine ersatz Kanne angefordert und offe, dass wenigstens diese ihr Geld wert ist.
