    Surpassed Expectations
Not your common, humdrum, decaf coffee. You have to taste it to discover the difference from “regular” coffees. Be prepared to compare it to specialties from the best coffee shops, or from a small sidewalk cafe in Barcelona. Powerful overtones of chocolate and hints of caramel will pleasantly surprise you. Even our granddaughter, who is highly selective, loves it! The house is filled with a unique aroma when brewed, unlike that of other coffees. I am a coffee aficionado that roasted and brewed a miriad variaties and blends over the years chasing that exclusive, unrivated cup of java.Health dictated that I had to give up caffeine. I was woefully disappointed as to what was available at the supermarkets. A lucky stroke of serendipity led me to Rojo Elephant. Decided to take a chance …good call. It fills the house with a unique aroma and will more than satisfy your taste buds. It might even put a smile on your face. Different from other decafs in a nice way. Wonderful for the holidays. A great, patriotic coffee indeed.

No Bean Origin or Roasted Date
The chocolate caramel flavor of the decaf coffee was delicious. It isn’t the highest quality coffee I have tasted, but it was a nice option for caffeine-free and swiss filtered.

One of the best decafs I have had.
I was entertained by the name of the company (Rojo elephant) as well as the name of the coffee itself (Honest Abe) with a picture of president Lincoln on the package. I drink a lot of decaf coffee because I don’t like the jitters that come with caffeine, and I am used to weak tasting or not as aromatic brews. This one was surprising and had a full body aroma as well as a strong pleasant taste. I like that it is not chemically decaffeinated. Definitely will be trying this and some others again.

    tastes great in lattes
The taste of this coffee is really good. While I don’t use it for drip or drink it black, I love using it for lattes. It doesn’t have a dirty or burnt taste to it, but it’s kinda earthy/fruity? I don’t know because I’m not a sommelier or anything, but it’s definitely better than your standard coffee or even decaf. The grind is somewhat medium, not coarse and not fine, so it works well for whatever coffee prep step, even technically espresso. Will be getting it again!

NOT “honest.: Coffee of unknown origin. Very little butterscotch flavor.
As a decaf medium roast, it’s OK but nothing special. Somewhat acidic. The butterscotch flavor is barely there. It’s also not “single origin” as advertised. The source is not mentioned on the label. I had to laugh at “it’s about promoting patriotism and serving freedom-loving Americans” at the bottom of the product page. With deception?Abe Lincoln would sue over using his name on the misrepresented title here. Not recommended.⭐️1 star — I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars — I don’t recommend it: has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars — It’s passable: it has some faults, but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars — Product quite acceptable, and it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — Product that I totally recommend.

Tasty (Rojo Elephant Honest Abe Handcrafted Decaf Ground Coffee)
Lovely aroma. Nice bold flavor. Low acidity and bitterness. Rather good by decaf standards. Grind is perfect for a drip machine.A tasty, every day coffee.

Flavor is great and the swiss water method is good
It’s important to be careful when shopping for decaf coffee not to shop the brands which use certain chemicals to decaffeinate their beans. This swiss water method is good and the beans when grounded taste great so not much to complain about. The only minor issue is the volume you get compared to other brands but for the flavor and the method used, I don’t mind having to buy more often.

    Great dark decaffinated option!
This Dark Chocolate Decaffeinated whole bean coffee was delicious. I personally enjoy caffeine, but my wife tries to stay away from it. At least I got some coffee to drink before bed! We ground it finely and brewed it in our Ninja hot and cold beverage maker. It was a bit on the darker side, but not bitter. The chocolate and caramel notes came through nicely. I also cold-brewed some in the fridge, which I’ve been enjoying. In fact, I actually preferred this as a cold-brewed concentrate the best. Give it a try that way!
