Delicious beer. Great instructions. Easy to brew. Requires basic brewing equipment.

Excellent red chocolate.
Excellent kit. Chocolate red ale with a potential of 4.2 abv. I took it to a potential 11.2 abv with dextrose. It stalled out at 9.2 abv. Will buy it again.

Good quality great tasting beer.
I brewed up a batch of this, kegged it, and went on vacation. I came home and my neighbor had consumed the whole 5 gallons. I did get to taste it and enjoyed it. My advice is don’t let your neighbors have access to your taps when you are out of town!

Really good beer
This is not the first time buying this kit. I have brewed it many times now and it always comes out great.

Red is my favorite
Red ale is why I brew. So hard to get a good one anywhere else on a consistent basis. My guests are always shocked that it is so much better than store bought beer.EDIT: A guest the other night commented on how it seemed to have a slight hint of caramel flavor. Given that the classic description of red ale is for it to have slight hint of toffee flavor, I’d say this hits the nail on the head. A friend made a batch using the same kit and his was terrible, way bitter and over carbonated. I suspect he left the grain in the wort through the whole boil and then used a bit too much sugar when he bottled. Follow the directions.

This is delicious
I like to use the BB kits for some experimenting, but seriously, don’t add anything, just follow the schedule. You will greatly enjoy this. If you got the equipment, I brewed to design, bottle primed, 1 micron filtered then co2 kegged. The end result is outstanding.
