Evening everybody. I picked this frother up not because I’m a coffee connoisseur that needs to have the perfect cup at every sip. I picked it up for three reasons;•I like my coffee hot for more than 5 minutes•I need to cut my coffee intake because at 50yo it makes me run to the can every 20 minutes after 2 cups•Who’s got two thumbs and needs to cut his sugar intake? This old dude!Since I’m a fan of coffee flavored coffee and real half and half, this handy little tool helps with all three points.This is the second one I’ve purchased, the first was a different brand, and I have to say that out of the box I was not highly thrilled with this one. My first one had some super crazy power on the first notch. The second and third were even more so. With this one the first notch will get your cream moving but it is not super powerful. Press your finger lightly against the bar and the engine will stop. But, setting two and three are definitely powerful. I thought this was a bad thing at first but it actually works out to my advantage.Since I need to cut my coffee and sugar intake I only fill my mug halfway with coffee. Which honestly gives me a standard cup because I use the oversized 15 oz to 18 oz mugs. Since I’m not drinking as much coffee I only need two or three scoops of sugar. I use another tall mug to warm about a quarter cup of half and half with one scoop of sugar. After removing the half and half from the microwave I use the milk frother and whip it into a nice firm foam.Here’s where this one has the advantage! With my last frother the first setting was so powerful that if I tried to use it to stir my firm half and half into my half cup of coffee then I would shoot both all over the counter and the wall. Even with my oversized mug. But, this one has a perfect power level for setting one if I want to use it to mix my firm half and half into my coffee as I slowly incorporate it into the larger mug. When I have about half an inch of space left on the top I stop frothing and pour a nice layer on top to insulate the rest of the coffee.Using this method I can drink two to three of these mugs through the morning before I overdo it and my sugar levels have dropped greatly. I used to drink a lot more coffee and was a sucker for loading it down with more sugar than a schoolgirl. I feel like I’m drinking a lot more coffee than I am because I’ve whipped a lot of air into about the same amount of half and half as I would have had, plus if I step away for a few minutes or get distracted my coffee is still nice and warm when I get back.I will say that the frother does work fairly well on many cream substitutes like Lucerne or International Delight. I can’t use sugar substitutes because if I do I start kicking out kidney stones like a painful gumball machine. And I’ve always had for two biggest sweet tooth. Until the kidney stones, when my old man bladder said after multiple kidney stone removal procedures, I used to be able to drink a pot of coffee then lay down for a good night’s sleep with no issues. Times have changed. This handy dandy little tool helps an old fart stay ahead of the curve. For the price point it can’t be beat.

Other reviews stated that you need to walk through all three speeds to shut off, not true. If you long press, it shuts off the wand immediately.It froths super quick – just have to make sure what you’re frothing is frothable :-)My Snickers creamer does not froth, skim milk froths like crazy!Also works well just as a mixer. I have a collagen powder that I add to my coffee. This wand thoroughly mixes/dissolves the powder in 5 secs as opposed to 45 sec of stirring with a spoon.Not sure why the stand holds the wand at an angle, I assume the designers have their reasons?

Only lasted 3 months
UPDATE: I heard from their support and they sent a replacement. They were easy to work with after initial contact and did what they said they would do. I will update again on how well this one works.The product worked well for about 3 months, then died suddenly. I can’t reach their customer support. Under “product care and instructions” it states “we provide lifetime replacement (new)”. Hopefully I can get a response so I can correspond with their support.

Buy it!
It seems cheaply made. But it’s really good. One annoyance my husband and daughter have is that you have to push and hold the button to turn off. I actually ended up spilling this morning because it didn’t turn off soon enough. But for the price, having a stand, 2 attachments, and it being rechargeable. Great purchase!
