    Great Coffee
The beans were amazing and perfectly roasted. There is a very subtle sweet and earthy flavor unlike more exotic single origin roasts with strong citrus notes. It’s one of the best and fair priced coffees I’ve stumbled upon and I’ll definitely buy more as time goes on. Thanks

Great Coffee, but the price . . .
The is really good coffee and has a wonderful and mild flavor profile. If I ranked this by flavor alone I would have to put this at around third or fourth place in my line-up. If I didn’t live within 20 miles of 3 coffee roasters, and had to buy coffee that was trucked half way across the nation, this would likely rank first or second in flavor quality. However the price of this coffee at roughly $32/lb is a bit ridiculous and kicks it out of my top 15.One of my local roasters also has a product made with beans from the same region which is similar but this Reborn brand seems to be milder as I don’t notice the usual tongue tingle I generally get with light and medium roast coffees. So apparently they are doing something extra with their beans to reduce the acidity which also gives it a milder yet sweet flavor. This is a great coffee to drink black or with a splash of heavy cream (which is my preferred addition) but hardly needs sugar at all unless you’re making it heavy on the coffee side of your brew ratio. My method is either French press (when I have the time) or reusable K-cup pods when I’m pressed for time (which is generally the case). My ratios are generally between 0.957 and 1.0 grams of coffee per ounce of water. This is roughly equivalent to brewing a 12 ounce cup of coffee with a prepackaged K-cup pod. Darker roasts tend to be on the lower end of the ration while light roasts get bumped up to the higher end of the ration of 1:1 g/oz.I don’t like bitter coffee and notice it tends to get bitter when I exceed these ratios and some roasters want us to use 2 or 3 times the amount of coffee per brew which gets beyond the level of being drinkable without the need for a ton of sugar and 3 oz of cream just to cut the bitterness. Brew it with the right ratio and you may find that you don’t need all those flavored creamers and sweeteners to make it palatable. And you may actually discover the true essence of the beans.Anyway, as stated, this is a really good roast with an excellent flavor profile that is mild and sweet all its own. If they bring the price down to a reasonable level, like half the current cost, then I would add this brand to my rotation, but for now its not in the budget for me. But as long as I can get premium quality coffee from my local roasters for more than half the cost of this brand, I’m afraid I have to pass on this one. However, if one has the inclination to splurge occasionally, this one may be worth it to try at least once.

    Fantastic beans
I used these to make espresso and they were delicious. I bought another bag right away. There’s such a nice mellow, unique flavor. I drank the coffee with a plain latte and more commonly with a protein shake. It gave me energy without making me feel jittery. The beans smell fantastic in the bag and as coffee. Give them a try!

    Uncultured Swine (That’s Me)
Let’s peel this band-aid off real quick: this just tastes like regular coffee to me. I can “proudly” say that I’ve been brewing and drinking coffee almost every day for the past 3 years, so I’d like to think I know a thing or two. Problem is I forgot that I’ve been drinking flavored coffee for those 3 years, and after requesting these beans I realized I’d made a huge mistake and am a true coffee-charlatan. These beans seem alright to me, but I can without a doubt tell you I have no idea what the “tasting notes” should be, and whether they’re accurate. Since I have no idea what I should be tasting, I can’t speak on that, but what I can say is that these are quite expensive, and if you’re not looking for specialty coffee then I’d steer clear and stick with what you already have. If you’re on the bleeding edge of coffee culture looking for the next bean to revolutionize your brew, give these a try. If you’ve been drinking Dunkin a few times a week then maybe look for something else before diving into the deep end of the coffee pool. 4/5, seems good but maybe a bit pricey.

Not Decaf – Good flavor, decent cup – it isn’t decaf
This is absolutely not decaffeinated. I got a buzz, the jitters and indigestion from it. I am very sensitive to the effects of caffeine, and so I am careful what I buy. Not sure how they messed this up, but I guarantee you that this is not decaf.

    nice boutiquey whole coffee beans
I got the Reborn flavor “Ethiopia Abana Estate”…++Overall I like drinking this coffee good enough. In this case it’s described as “medium” and I would describe the taste as solid medium with no extreme tastes aka easy to drink. This Ethiopia flavor is fruity focused with the peach and pomegranate…these flavors appear mild to me. I typically prefer chocolate/nutty type flavors over the fruity but this variety here is totally drinkable for me.Brand-wise it appears Reborn is a smaller boutiquey brand and this is a good effort here. This bag is 12 ounces of nicely roasted whole beans and the expiration date on mine says “Best By: 12/11/24”.At current price of ~$18 (after coupon don’t forget to click) which is still on the higher side relative to some less boutiquey competition, I rate 4-STARS in consideration of price/value/choices.
