Lovely green marble, shot through with red marble swirls. It is a perfect size for keeping by the stove for salting or adding MSG to sauces, and the lid is so much better for keeping the contents dry and oil free. Plus the little spoon is an added bonus and just the right size for regulating the contents by a small amount. Might even by a second one for a friend.

I love this salt keeper. So very beautiful and works like you hope it will. I bought the brown marble and it came with a pretty little spoon. There is a notch in the basin that allows you to press the stem of the spoon into the salt so that the lid fits flush with the bottom. I put 1/4 cup of salt in mine but you can store more than that in the basin/bottom. I love it. I wish I had a second kitchen to I can have another one.
