Perfect storage for coffee (ground or beans)
I first discovered this at Target and on a whim, or the clever manufacturers design work doing funny things to my brain, I took one home. That was about 5 years ago but then, on a dark, stormy night… the glass portion slid off, out of soapy hands and felt the full force of the kitchen floor as gravity sent it descending down, down … and down…. CRASH … (end scene) tragic day, I know.I think the glass gives this a nice, distinctive quality over anything made of plastic, but as youâve read, one bad move and youâll end up cleaning shards of glass, which to be fair was just user error and has nothing to do with bad craftsmanship. Keep this in mind if you have kids or have butterfingers like me.Still, I liked it so much that I bought a new one, this time off Amazon and peace has been restored to coffee beans everywhere (my kitchen).Bottom line: stylish, keeps coffee fresh, easy to see when a refill is needed, and the lid goes on and off with just the right amount of pressure – it hasnât felt like the glass is about to shatter as some have mentioned. Iâm not saying some units may not have an issue, but (knock on wood), no issues with mine.

Keeps food fresh!
It really does keep food fresher! I have a large one I keep peanut butter filled pretzels in. They haven’t gone stale since I got it!

Keeps it Fresh
I wanted a coffee storage container that was easy to open and easy to close and was not messy to use. I just put the coffee in the container, and them I push down on the cover and it slides easily into the container. I can feel the air flowing out of the container, through the cover, when I push it down onto the coffee. The cover is easily removed and allows air back into the container as I pull it out. The container is wide enough to allow me to move my hand down into the bottom of it to get coffee out without having to tip the container over and then pour out the coffee to allow me to reach it. If you push down too hard on the cover, then the bottom of it will push into the coffee and coffee grounds will get pushed into the vents. I am happy with this unit!

Hazard!
Literally the first time i opened the lid the glass shattered in my hands. It is simply a faulty item and bad design. The pressure from the vacuum is too strong for the thin glass.The broken glass is a hazard and even worse, broken glass items are non returnable so in order to get your refund you’ll have to talk to someone. Be ware.

Works great
I got this for Espresso beans because I got tired of having the beans in a 2lbs bag go “stale.” I tend to only use 18-36g of beans per day so I needed something to keep them fresh.

I have three of these, a large one for coffee beans, 2 medium ones for ground coffee, regular and decaf. Theyâre great! The only ones Iâve found that are truly airtight. Keeps the coffee fresher longer.
