I’ve always been a huge fan of boba tea, and this Matcha Powder Boba Tea Kit has taken my daily tea ritual to a whole new level of yum! From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed with the quality of the contents. The matcha powder is bursting with a fresh, earthy flavor that’s just a delight. The kit also comes with boba pearls, which are easy to cook and have that perfect chewy texture. The instructions provided were clear and simple, which made the whole preparation process a breeze.

Pretty tasty boba kit!
This kit comes with just about everything you need. It has the tea, boba pearls, and straws perfect for boba. You will just need your own cups and cooking supplies. There’s enough here to make it a few to several times depending on how much you’re making per batch. I think we got 4-5 decent size batches out of this kit. We never got it quite at the same consistency as the boba shops we like locally but it did turn out relatively well for making it at home. With a bit more practice and patience, I think we can do better. We tried a couple different soaking solutions with honey and brown sugar. Both worked pretty well since it also helped sweeten the tea. We also liked that this tea is good with milk.What I liked about it: Great taste. Comes with most of what you need.What I didn’t like: It’s hard to get cooked boba right.Overall, we recommend this kit!

Tapioca pearls in this kit are the worst! Gritty and just plain gross.

Unfortunately unable to make my boba tea due to not so healthy looking pearls.
So I know they state crumbling of the tapioca pearls are expected but this much? (See photo). It really does look like a mess and even slightly touching others cause them to instantly crumble too. I am no expert but I am pretty sure these look drier and less fresh than other tapioca pearls.I also realized the pack was not vacuum sealed and used my better judgement by not using them. This is most likely the reason they look so bad.I was a bit sad I had really looked forward to making my own tasty boba tea.But the tea was still useable and I did get to enjoy that. It was good, had a nice flavor but nothing special or spectacular.I think some people might be put off by the steps required to make this tea, while others might enjoy the process. I don’t think it’s too complicated but it seems easier to make the whole batch than one cup at a time. Personally I prefer not making such a large batch at once and smaller portions would have been more ideal in my case.But since I didn’t get to complete the process and taste the final product, this is hard to review.One more thing I found a bit annoying was that you have to look up the instructions online. I’m not sure why they couldn’t include them with the kit. I would say to be environmentally conscious but I’m pretty sure that is not the case based on the other materials used as well as the shredded paper lining the box interior.I wanted to love this but do feel the cost is quite high for not so high quality and limited servings.

New drink from Locca Boba
I am a big fan of Locca Boba products. All items I have been using are premium quality with reasonable pricing. This is the new item they have launched couple weeks ago. I have made around 10 servings of boba drinks with this kit. Also this is great product to gift to someone who you loves bubble tea. With this price and premium packaging this is really good deal!

I feel like this is a tasty and convenient way to have Thai iced tea at home. Itâs hard to find a good mix for it that tastes the same as restaurant quality. But I feel like this is one of the better ones I have tried so far. With or without the Boba, it is good! Very easy to DIY fun drinks!
