Perfect kit
Well made but I wish they would make these with large silicon wraps instead of leather. While leather looks super nice, for a daily use item silicon will get better mileage and be easier to use. The cork lid fits well and the filter works great.I do recommend if anyone is having issues with flow rate, grind your coffee more coarse the larger the chunks the easier it is for the water to flow though it.

Beautiful, simple and high quality.
This pour over set is perfect for my needs. I have a very small kitchen and wanted to make a coffee & tea area in my dining room to save my limited counter space.The filter is high quality and has produced smooth coffee consistently for the few days Iâve used it.I recommend using a coarse grind if youâre having an issue with grounds getting stuck in the filter.I love the simplicity and cleaning is a breeze, everything easily rinses out. I saw the cork didnât fit well in other reviews but mine fits great. I like the leather grip, it easily snaps on and off and fits securely. It feels high quality and adds a nice flair.Combined with an electric kettle I also bought on Amazon, I have fresh coffee in under 5 minutes thatâs actually kind of fun to make.This set up is pretty enough to leave out, and if it holds up, the purchase was well worth it.

Better value than Chemix?
Obviously the most well known pour-over glass coffee maker is the Chemix, but I actually think this Kavako coffee maker is, dollar for dollar, a better value. First, it’s beautifully made with thick glass carafe with a genuine leather collar, which I actually prefer over the wood collar that comes with the Chemix – I can see the leather aging nicely over time. Second, it comes with the stainless-steel dripper, which has very fine mesh filter. Although I think I may end up using a paper filter on top of the metal filter because I noticed it filters out the coffee way too fast. Third, it’s close to $10-20 cheaper than the comparable Chemix, and hey, who doesn’t like saving money? I guess only little thing I would point out is that just like with any pour-over coffee maker of this shape, it’s harder to clean the inside without having some sort of a bendable brush that reach the inside. Overall, I definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys a rich flavorful coffee in the morning or anytime.

Great for pourovers for a good price!
This pour over set works great for my morning pour over coffee. Some things to note are that it steeps slowly when Iâm trying to brew pre-ground coffee -the water drips through so slowly that it could take more than 6-8 minutes just to finish 4-5 cups! So I like to grind the beans myself on my OXO burr grinder at setting 9 out of 15, which is a bit more coarse than medium.Another note is that the cork doesnât keep the coffee hot for long, so to reheat it, you could put it on a stovetop for a bit.I pour the used ground beans into a plastic Tupperware and use that to spread around my garden. Rinse the filter out after use as well!

Glass is thick and solid. Able to take the heat. Overall good product.Wish the filter had less holes so the coffee sits longer. But, thatâs a personal preference.The leather holder works, but can get hot at times⦠Likely a handle of some sort would be better.

KAVAKO double·wall stainless steel mesh/microperf coffee filter
âMake yourself a most excellent cup of coffee with the KAVAKO filter and the MAYLMC 1.3l stainless steel pot.·place filter in pot; put 15g of ground coffee in filter·bring 12oz of water to a boil; slowly pour water over coffee grounds·use a spoon (preferably a soup spoon) to express remainig liquid from grounds in filter into pot·remove KAVAKO filter from MAYLMC pot and set filter aside·pour your freshly brewed coffee into your favorite cup or mug; add sugar, cream, et cetera, or simply drink it black.To clean KAVAKO filter:*PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY HARSH SUBSTANCES OR IMPLEMENTS TO CLEAN FILTER; YOU WILL DAMAGE IT*·remove silicone gasket from filter and gently hand wash it; then let it air dry.·use a small silicone spatula to remove all of the spent grounds from filter, and dispose of them·use paper napkin or towel to gently wipe out inside of filter (this helps to remove oil residue that will eventually clog filter if not cared for properly)·sprinkle a small amount of baking soda along filter’s inner seam; pour a small amount of plain white vinegar over baking soda, and gently work solution around both inside and outside of filter; then use a soft sponge and a drop of dish soap to gently hand wash filter·thoroughly rinse filter with warm water and pat dry with paper towel and leave uncovered for a short while·be sure to clean and rinse your MAYLMC pot, using the same procedure as your KAVAKO filterI hope that this little KAVAKO/MAYLMC combo will provide you with many delicious cups of joe!!

Works great! Know your grind though.
This works exactly like the one I had before, perfect! But you really need to know your grind to get it just right. If the grind is too fine then it just plugs it up and you have the same problem all these other people have been having. Know your grind people!
