Some of my experience with this product might be determined by the coffee I use.This product works well. I am bought it because it was cheaper, and I am well satisfied. However the function is a little different. The plunger is loose compared to the original, but seals well because of the silicon flange. I would expect it not to last as long because the flange has to work harder. I have had it about 6 months, and it is as good as new. But I had the old part probably at least 10 years.I get more pass through of grounds than with the original part, and oddly, there is more coffee that never makes it through. The passed through grounds, largely get caught in the strainer in the lid. Not a huge effect.Probably easier to clean as there is only one part, it does not need to be disassembled.Overall, it is a mater of how long it lasts, and I don’t know yet. I probably only bought it for the lower price, and that only works out if it lasts. Plus there is plastic in this part, while the original part was all metal.

Amazing coffee, no more fines in my cup.
Amazing product, super easy to attach and has helped up. Very durable, I use this once a day every day. Great value for your money. Super easy to clean just like any other filter. Perfect fit for my French press.

So easy to clean
The original filter had two separate screens. Grounds would get all up in between them making it nessesary to take the whole thing a part to clean it everyday. This is two screens , but they are sealed together and is so much better, comes with an extra rubber grommet.

I have a steel carafe style French press with a filter that had worn it’s rubber seal to shreds. This was the filter I found for a replacement that was most like the original. This replacement filter fits my 32oz carafe perfectly. It screwed on tightly and presses without issue. I love it. The best aspect is that the filter came with an additional filter seal/rubber ring… Adding value to and extending the filter life. I am very happy with the selection and purchase.

Yay, it works and fits my 4″ opening in my Bonjour Ami 8 cup French Press
I was hesitant to buy this replacement mesh for my 8-cup Bonjour Ami French Press since the Q&A section mentioned it might not fit. However, after 3 years of use, the original filter parts fell apart, and I didn’t want to replace the entire press. I decided to give this a try, and Iâm so glad I did!
