Portable French Press Travel Coffee Maker
The way all of the layers of this device come together confused and frustrated me at first, but once I figured it out I think it is brilliant!There are several layers to the filter, including a unique silicone layer that seals off the coffee from the grounds after you depress the plunger to prevent oversteeping. The layers of the filter all screw together and then need to be unscrewed again for cleaning. They are held in place at the filter end by a threaded metal bead, and another plastic one secures it to the lid. You cannot separate the pieces of the filter without unscrewing the metal bead first.Using three tablespoons of ground coffee and filling to the âmax lineâ yields just under 8 ounces of coffee. As with any French press, a few grounds in your coffee are to be expected. This also has a tendency to splash coffee up and out if you are not very careful when pressing it down.I recently took this with me camping and it was a massive hit. Everyone could make their own cup how and when they wanted and even when two people wanted coffee at the same time, it only takes four minutes to brew, and then a quick rinse in between uses and it’s ready to go again. This will be a staple when I travel from now on.

Just Average
The press works as advertised. However, it did no better or no worse than one priced for less. The pot is insulated but the coffee cooled quickly.

Good design but small
This French press works well and is good for travel. I would like it to be bigger. Cleaning it out is a lot of work for such a small amount of coffee. Even for travel it could be bigger.

Great coffee
Good and large size. Makes excellent coffee. Very easy to clean. Good filtration, and looks quite nice sitting with my coffee setup.

Perfect for travelers
I travel a lot for work and I can’t always rely on the coffee provided by the hotel. This travel French press has just upped my travel game. It is 12 oz, the perfect size cup. It’s double walled so your beverage stays hot, and the press keeps the grounds in the bottom of the mug. The lid has a lock on it so it won’t pop open, and it is leak proof. The first photo shows what the inside of the lid looked like after I shook it upside down. You can see the rubber plug on the lid that keeps the drinking hole sealed. I’ve seen these before, but at a much higher price point. With this, it’ll pay for itself in one trip. Perfect gift for the coffee snob in your life.
