When I was visiting my father-in-law, I got hooked on the idea of grinding beans for my individual cup of coffee. He had one of the hand crank style ones, but honestly, I wanted something I didn’t have to manually do. I came across this little grinder in my search for an electric style one and it’s perfect! Super easy to use, is relatively quiet, and quicker to use than the hand crank one (but maybe I’m just not ready for the barista Olympics). I grind just enough for my refillable Kcup. I love that it has an adjustable dial on the outside of the unit and that it is USBC rechargeable. The led screen on top shows how much battery life is left. It even came with a little scoop with brush. I would totally recommend for those out there interested in grinding for Individual cups, which is why I purchased this. If you are looking to grind for a whole pot of coffee, then this is probably not for you.

I had a burr grinder from another company that stopped working so I replaced it with this model. These are my quick take-aways:Pros: Grind is very consistent. The hopper for the beans accommodates almost 2 scoops of beans (whereas my older grinder was pretty full after 1 scoop). This allows me to make a stronger and/or larger cup. The bottom container that holds the beans is very smooth on the inside, so the ground coffee comes out easily and nothing is left stuck to the sides. Very quiet operation. Auto shutoff has been consistently reliable (my old grinder would often shut off prematurely as beans would get jammed in the hopper. This model has a wider hopper, which I think keeps the beans moving through the grinder until they are all through). The power indicator shows you how much battery life is left in 25% increments.Cons: It’s slow. I used to start my water boiling (this would take 3.5 minutes in the microwave), then start loading the grinder and grinding my beans. With this grinder, the grinder is still grinding when the water is ready. So now, I start the grinding process first, then start the water. Due to the longer grinding time, I think the battery runs down faster. I find I’m having to charge the grinder about twice as often compared to my old grinder. You have to hit the start button twice to get the grinder to work… the first press just shows you battery status. This seems silly to me, since the status will show when the grinding starts anyway. I would suggest that one button press starts the grinding. You rarely ever want to check battry status if you are not planning to grind, so why is this the way it operates? Lastly, changing the grind size is by rotating a dial on the canister. It is very easy to accidentally change your setting while you are attaching or removing the top of the grinder to access the bean hopper. I guess having the grind adjustment so accessible is good for people who brew different types of coffee using different methods. But I make my coffee the same way every morning and would be happier with an adjustment that was a little harder to get to. It’s too easy to accidentally change your grind setting. All in all, if you can put up with the longer grind times, recharging about once per week, and are careful to check your grind setting to make sure you haven’t accidentally changed it, it’s a great value and does the job very well.

Works as advertised. Purchased to allow a minor multitasking time savings over manual grinding (to prep other items). It looks good and the implementation is well done. The grind size can’t be set as small as my Kingrinder, but it gets to the size of my typical espresso load which is sufficient. It is no faster than the manual grinder, may take slightly longer, and while the Kingrinder base fits perfectly in my 51mm portafilter, this one’s base is a larger diameter so I’ve ordered a funnel to hopefully address spillage. The external grind adjustment sounds good in theory, and does work well, but it is also easy to accidentally spin it off your desired setting, so become familiar with which tick mark gives your preferred grind size; it’s not a set and forget.

I downgraded this unit despite the fact that it indeed does generate various grinds of coffee without issue. My problem is my son and I have both notes that despite leaving it on charge overnight, when I start grinding the display starts at 50%, not 100%! Is it just my display?I grind for a week, so after fully charging for week 1 and not recharging in the interim, I expected the charge to decrease (not sure whether after use #1 if it displayed 50 or 75%.). Second use it drew down the power and I recharged it, but the next use at week 3 my son stated the power displayed only 50% again. On charge overnight, and this morning it displayed 50% upon my first grind. I just ground 4 batches and the display dropped from 50% to 25% already.I do like the unit, it seems well built, has too many grind adjustment options, and as others have said, it can be irritating that when you put the unit back together you will probably change the grind setting, but that is just a matter of learning the idiosyncracies of the unit. I’m concerned if this is normal for the battery. The grind is so much better than my old Krups bladed grinder and it shows in my espresso machine.

Long story short, I returned the first grinder because it didn’t work. They refunded money and sent me a free one, which also did not work. When the third one came, they mentioned in the instructions that the power button required a double-tap to start the grinder. Nowhere in the written instructions did it say that. Once I found that out, the unit worked great. Product support and replacements were done in a timely manner. They promised to fix their instruction manual and pay more attention to future correspondence, which I expect they will. Overall, their service and the product was very good, but could have been improved with better written instructions. Recommend the product.

The coffee tastes as great as grinding the beans with a manual grinder. Some people are unaware what a difference the speed makes. I had an expensive, electric burr grinder that was fast. But after a while the beans would become bitter unless I thoroughly cleaned the whole mechanism. This one is as good as my manual camping grinder!
