Fantastic value
For the current $21 retail price, this is a very good little grinder. It automatically senses when the beans in the hopper are fully ground and shuts off on its own. It’s a bit slow, but even the listing acknowledges that. The advantage of having freshly ground coffee when you’re not at home is well worth the extra few seconds.
There are more grind settings than you’ll likely ever use, but it’s always nice to have an overabundance of adjustments. The glass grounds container has much lower static than typical plastic ones and comes with a lid in case you want to grind your coffee and take it on the go. Personally, I’d rather grind it fresh, but that’s not always convenient.
The marketing material states it has a 25g hopper and a 70g grounds container. While I didn’t take the time to weigh them, just eyeballing it, I’d say you’d be hard-pressed to fit a full grind in the container. Of course, that depends on how fine your grind is. I used a medium grind setting, suitable for pour-over, and it worked well.
The packaging is decent—not fancy, but not cheap-looking either. It’s reasonable for a gift, though not as nice as some of the other grinders I’ve reviewed. Then again, it’s $21, so it’s hard to complain.
If you’re using a blade grinder or have been suffering through pre-ground coffee from the store (and yes, you’ve been suffering, even if you don’t know it yet), do yourself a favor and grab this grinder. Burr grinding is universally recognized as the best method for creating consistent coffee grounds.

This is my first coffee bean grinder of any kind. I have friends who have ground their own beans for years (and some friends who actually roast their own). I was always told that grinding your own resulted in a superior coffee experience. I’m still learning to determine which grind setting I like the best. I’ve used it in a pod type machine. I think 30 is the setting I like; the recommendation seems to be 20 but that seemed too fine to me even though it is in the middle. I did not count the number of beans which will fit in the grinding chamber. I can say that by filling it, it will take about 3 minutes max to grind the beans and the yield from that – for me – is enough to make 1.5 cups of coffee. I use about 5 tsps of coffee for each cup in the pod type maker. The beans are ground well. The charge lasts – I don’t have a time frame as I’ve only charged it once (I use it once a day max). Cleaning it rather simple with the brush provided. It took me a minute to realize that the beans actually stained part of the internal mechanism the first time I used it. It is not submersible to clean. I did use canned air which didn’t seem to do anything. After several minutes of trying, I finally determined/discovered that it was staining and not debris. If you’re looking for your first grinder, want an electric one for portability, or maybe for a travel trailer, this one should fit the bill.

The only thing I’d change about this coffee grinder is it’s a bit slow, but otherwise it does the job!

Super slow grinding coffee beans. Not impressed. My husband and I will be returning this product.

I’ve been using a similar portable coffee grinder when I travel for years. I roast my own beans, so really want to take advantage of grinding them just before brewing them in my French press carafe. The old one worked, but was very (!) noisy, and so slow that I was constantly waiting for it.
So when I saw this grinder pop up, I jumped on it, hoping for quieter, faster grinding. And I got it!
The design is really clever, with the bin for the ground coffee being held on by a firm silicone ring, sealing it and holding it in place, but still allowing it to be detached instantly. I like the fact it comes with a lid that fits this bin, for storing your freshly-ground coffee, and dispensing it neatly. It also comes with a USB-A to USB-C short cord, and let’s face it, you can never have too many of those (though you probably have a few chargers you can use to charge this already set up).
The real treat is in the grinding. The grinding process is much quieter than my previous grinder, and much faster, though “fast” is a relative term. My (large, very noisy, plug-in) burr grinder I use at home will grind enough coffee for a 1.5 liter French press in 14 seconds. But it does it with lots of noise, and of course, using many, many watts of endless power available in my house outlets. This little portable grinder took about 3.5 minutes to grind a “half-bin” of coffee, which is about what I’d use for my “travel” 0.75 liter French press. That’s not “fast” but is blindingly quick compared to my old portable grinder. It’s also much quieter.
The grinder has a nice “clearing function” at the end of every grind, spinning the grinding burr backward, to clear any beans that might be stuck and make start-up difficult. Clever.
Adjusting the coarseness of the grind is really simple and easy – just rotate the ring that’s calibrated from zero to 40 (I used 40 for a French press). The grind looks to be very consistent (due to this being a burr grinder), so I am very happy with the results.
Update: after living with the grinder for a while, I’m even more impressed, and love the fact that I can grind many days worth of coffee without recharging (my old grinder was good for 1.5 to 2 days). I see this is no longer available, but hope it returns, as it’s a really great deal.
All in all, for the VERY modest price point, this is one great grinder, and it will make my “travel life” a whole lot easier.
