Perfect for coffee!!!
Functions perfectly and keeps things airtight. I buy a 2 lb bags of coffee at a time, and this stores more than that, and keeps it all fresh for the 2 months it takes me to go through it all. I’ve had mine for over a year now and it’s still in perfect condition. Very tough.

Best overall coffee storage
This canister checks the box on two of the most important components of keeping your coffee beans fresh:1. keeps daylight out2. reduces flow of oxygenThe inner lid is easy to use to push out excess air. Unlike other vacuum-driven devices where you have to rapidly spin the lid thirty times to suck out air, this is a simple push downward. So easy, and so effective. I use the largest size in an office setting, but the smaller units would probably be better for home use. Highly recommend this for storing your high-quality specialty coffee!

Perfect for storing green coffee beans
I use 6 of these canisters to store 5 pound bags of green coffee beans from around the world. A 5 pound bag only fills the container just a bit less than 2/3’s of the way, where you can squeeze in a couple of 1 pound bags of beans on top as well. The cans are quality manufactured, and honestly kind of have a NASA vibe to them. The inner airvalve/plunger system works well and has a good quality rubber gasket around it; however, I wish the air valve was larger so that you could insert/remove the plunger just a bit more quickly. Regardless, these cans do the job they are designed for and they do it well.The cans have a nice powder-costed finish, and you can write on them with something like a dry erase marker or use a sticker to label them. They also have a smoke-grey, transparent lid that with another rubber gasket around it which acts as a secondary air seal. The bottom of the cans have a rubber disk/foot that’s slightly inset into the bottom fo the can, so it keeps them from sliding around and or otherwise marring any surface you set them on.I’ve already own 6 of these cans, so I guess that’s a good review in and of itself. 🙂

Excellent Quality
I wasnât shopping for anything like this, just happened to run across it when I was âbrowsingâ Iâm glad I did, it looks great, keeps my coffee fresh and itâs FANCY. Worth the price and I would buy it again.

Very large and does the job, but hard to open.
I bought the large size to hold a 2 lb bag (model claims to hold 2.2 lbs). Boy does it ever; dumping a new bag took about 2/3 or less of the space (see pictures just after adding the bag). Easy to clean, very good looking, and appears to be well made, but it takes a lot of space on the counter.Pulling up the internal sealing lid takes substantial effort: cradle the container in one arm and pull up hard on the inside handle until it pops off. I suspect this is because it’s so dang large, so there’s no way to hold it down with one hand, and the air bleed hole that opens when you raise the handle is quite small but there’s still alot of air to let in. Pushing the lid back down is much easier since you only need one hand to push with.In retrospect I wish I had gotten one of the smaller sizes, which I think would be easier to open each day and take up less counter real estate.

A âfreshâ idea.
Iâve only had it a short time. I have a different canister that is different than this one. The difference is an inner âplungerâ style lid that helps expel air when pressed in place.About a week in, it still has the fresh coffee smell when I remove or plunge the inside lid. I can store a scoop and a reusable k-cup on top of the inner lid. Less clutter in a small kitchen.

So had bought the Airscape 1 lb container and after being highly impressed and needing a larger size to hold more beans plus my espresso beans (can’t run out of coffee beans) did some research on other canister options available on Amazon. In the end, came back to the Airscape for its quality and functionality in the 2 lb size. Was initially going to buy one of the color options but noted that the black one is listed as being made of alloy steel which is far better versus the others listed as just steel. Nonetheless, it’s a great storage unit and feel their design will last longer for air release vs the screw on versions seen. The air lid is bigger on the 2 lb size so pulling it off the canister takes more effort but it works the same and my beans are kept fresh. Such a difference in the taste of your coffee ensuring that newly opened package freshness. The canister is pricey but feel it will pay for itself in providing quality coffee for a long time. Hope it lasts a long while making it worth the investment. (Note: My local bean roasting shop had a l lb version with screw on lid and it was made of plastic and the price was the same so this quality option is a good price.) Besides I now save the $3/day to buy my coffee which equates to $90 month in savings and I get a better tasting cup of coffee for a long time to come. It’s a win win situation. I’m happy.
