Product Description

Step 1: Set The Wick

Remove The Old Wick Tab
(Only applicable for candle refills)
Using a butter knife or fork, pry the wick out of the wax.
Wipe the newly exposed glass clean with the alcohol wipes provided in the refill pack.

Stick New Wick To Candle Jar
Peel the backing from the sticker under the wick tab. Place wick in center of candle jar.

Secure And Center New Wick
Place the provided metal wick holder on the candle jar, threading the wick through the center hole. Pull the wick until there is no sag and insert it into the center hole notch.
Step 2: Melt The Wax

Place Wax In Microwave
For safety, place the wax bag in a microwaveable bowl. Do not open the bag beforehand; it will open itself while heating.

Microwave The Wax Pouch
Microwave the wax pouch for the time specified in your candle pack instructions.
Caution: Do not leave wax unattended while microwave is running. Wax that gets overheated can catch on fire.

Ensure Wax Is Fully Melted
Caution: Bag of wax will be hot.
Check the wax bag to ensure that the wax is completely melted. If it’s not, then microwave it for 30 seconds and check again. Continue to microwave it for 30 second intervals until all wax is melted.
Step 3: Pour The Candle

Prepare To Pour The Wax
Caution: Bag of wax will be hot.
Grasp the pouch by the two corners opposite the side you will be pouring.

Carefully Pour The Wax Into Candle Jar
Tilt the wax pouch to begin pouring. Carefully pour all of the wax into the glass candle jar, onto the wick which is being held in place by the metal wick holder.

Allow Wax To Harden
Set the candle jar on a flat surface and allow the wax to harden undisturbed for 24 hours.
Step 4: Trim The Wick

Remove The Wick Holder
Gently push the wick out of the wick holder notch. Lift the metal wick holder out of the candle jar.

Trim The Wick
Using scissors or a wick trimmer, cut the wick 1/4″ above the wax.

Light Your Candle
The very first time you light the candle, allow it to remain burning until the top layer of wax is completely melted.

Hit or miss scents – OK product, but price is not worth it
The balsam scent is AMAZING! The lavender lemon smells like artificial grape (not good at all). I’ve ordered four of these refills and half the time there is a bit of irregular burning. For the $25 price, you might as well buy the wax, wicks, and scents yourself and really DIY. I love the sustainability aspect of this, and maybe if you don’t burn that many candles, it would be worth it.

Does not aggravate my asthma!!! ð
I was looking for a sustainable, soy candle product that didnât cost the price of my rent and this brand seems to fit the bill!! It was half the price of the other brands for the same quantity of product. I have to be very careful not only what fragrances I use in my home, but what kinds of waxes I burn. When you have asthma, that really matters. This candle burned cleanly and the fragrance was not sensitizing to my lungs at all. The soy wax burns more quickly than others so I only used it after cooking particularly aromatic foods. The volume of wax provided filled up the container I used by little more than half. I used a container that was roughly the size of a large coffee mug for reference. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only down side was that at first it seemed to tunnel pretty badly even though I burned the candle properly. After some quick research I determined that either my container was a tad too wide, or the wick could have been slightly too narrow in diameter. Something to consider when you choose your container. I figured out that if I didnât trim the wick as much and left it a little longer than recommended it did not tunnel.

Smells nice but the bag breaks
I wish this worked as well as I was hoping. I have some nice jars that I wanted to refill to use under my candle warmer. I put the bag in a bowl and microwaved but the bag split and the bowl filled with wax. It was a mess trying to pour wax from the bowl into the jar and then cleaning up the bowl was a pain. I like the idea but the bag needs improvement before I would purchase again.

What a mess!
The bag did not hold together during the melting process. Made a huge mess. Completely unusable.

Lovely scent, easy to use
Very impressed with this product and company. The scents so far have been lovely, citrus basil is fantastic. Easy to refill old candle vessels which I loveliest! And the burn quality is excellent, really does last. Will definitely be reordering and looking forward to some winter/fall scents. This is actually my second round as my first two had a flaw in the packaging which caused a bit if a mess when I went to “make” the candles but the company made good on it and I feel went above and beyond to replace the candle kits. Thanks them you’ve made a lifetime customer of me.

Great candle making kit!
Smells heavenly! I just wish it came with more than one wick so you could make several smaller candles. Easy to understand instructions included. I got the lemon verbena.
