Mild and sweet – everyone in this house loved it!
We go through a LOT of coffee in my house; we prefer whole bean, lighter roast, and we’re absolutely ruthless when it comes to taste and smell. (A family member gifted us some coffee from overseas; it went in the garbage after making one pot. Grossss.)We had high hopes but some apprehension when it came to Abbotsford Road’s Brazil Oberon Coffee, and I’m so glad to say that WE LOVE IT.From the first moment opening the bag and sniffing the beans, to grinding the beans, to brewing and drinking the coffee – the scent is on point. It’s described as “orange spice, sweet cocoa, and a floral finish,” and I feel like that’s an accurate description. It brewed mildly, without excessive bitterness. I prefer to add creamer to my coffee, but I did take a sip of it black and found it to be smooth and honestly quite good. (And then I added creamer.)If you like coffee that’s a step above what you might find in a normal store, this coffee is fantastic. I would happily drink this coffee and only this coffee.

Yummy coffee
This is really yummy coffee and it tasted fresh. I like the flavor profile a lot and it’s very smooth. I was a bit concerned thought that even though it was in a vacuum seal bag the bag was full of air and was definitely not protected from the elements so I could see this going stale faster than expected

Really delicious smooth coffee
I’ve tasted a lot of coffees recently and we regularly order coffee from a local coffee roaster. This Brazil Oberon is the first coffee I’ve had in a really long time that I actually love. I like many but love few and I’m surprised at how smooth and rich this one is. I taste the cocoa described on the label. I don’t taste orange. It’s a medium light roast but I find it full flavored with depth and roundness, no bitterness, very smooth. So enjoyable. I’m going to order another bag.

Super fresh
I always know when a bag of coffee is going to be good or not when I smell the beans and these were a delight. The aroma told me right away that these beans were super fresh and the taste was going to be light and bright, just the way I like my coffee. It’s probably true that light to medium roast coffee is a little more acidic and not as easy on the stomach for people like me, but it adds so much to the flavor to me it’s worth it. Also there is supposed to be a little more caffeine in lighter roasts even though the taste of dark coffee is often stronger. These are now my new favorite beans so I can definitely recommend them.

Light roast Colombian
This roast is sure on the lighter side, and I did not like the results in my trusted stovetop mocha maker. Drip-coffee on the other hand was ok, with a sweet and earthy flavor profile. Quite frankly helped me decide to order less Colombian coffee for now, after Colombian beans have been my goto for the past 5 years. Quality and freshness I’d rate with a 4.5, my personal taste rating on this one… 3.5. Not my favorite coffee beans.

Interesting coffee
I thought this coffee was pretty good and surprised me. It’s a little lighter tasting than I thought but had a good flavor. It surprised me a little to taste some citrusy after notes which I liked. I used it in my superautomatic machine as it wasn’t too oily, but it was a little sour in my opinion and I couldn’t dial it out. Also, my bag got punctured or something and definitely had tons of air inside; I’m not sure if that made the coffee worse.

Flavorful, bright, a great way to start the morning!
This medium-light roast allows these distinct flavors to shine, offering a crisp, clean cup with a smooth, balanced finish. The citrusy orange spice adds a refreshing zing, while the subtle cocoa undertones provide a rich, comfort that enhances the overall complexity of the brew.Perfect for those who enjoy a flavorful and aromatic coffee, this brew offers something thatâs both bright and satisfying. The beans grind easily and produce a well-rounded cup thatâs ideal for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat. Brewed as a drip coffee, the bright citrus and cocoa notes make every sip an enjoyable, great experience. With its smooth finish and inviting aroma, this coffee is a standout for those who appreciate a deliciously complex yet easy-to-drink coffee!

Tiny, dry beans but pretty smooth flavor.
These beans are much smaller than the beans we usually buy. They were also very dry with none of the natural oils that roasted beans have when theyâre fresh. It didnât seem to affect the flavor too much. I found the flavor to be quite light and mild. Probably not quite a medium roast. Iâm not one to notice the subtle flavors of coffee, but I found this one to be smooth and easy to drink with no bitterness or after taste. While I was expecting the beans to look different, I am happy with the flavor.
