Does not leak
Hot liquids, washing machine, put it in the frig before, has not leaked at all. Seems well built and easy to clean and put back together. Just twist tops, cant go wrong.

Good size, easy to clean
I love how this bottle feels to the touch, it has a texture coating. It keeps the liquid super hot for a long time and I really like how quickly I can disassemble the lid to clean. Putting it back together is as easy and quick once you get the hang of it.

Best insulated mug I’ve ever used
I’ve gone through a dozen insulated mugs over the last 15 years but the first day of using and washing this OXO mug I knew it was going to be my absolute favorite. It’s solid, attractive, keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold. Best of all, it’s entirely dishwasher safe and the lid isn’t an uncleanable mold-farm hellscape like nearly every other mug I’ve owned. I should have grabbed this one years ago. OXO is the Apple of home products; you pay handsomely for their products but 1) you get exactly what you pay for; 2) the build quality is tops; and 3) they last forever.

Great bottle but beware of the color
I initially bought one of these coffee mugs because I loved the easy to clean lid and spill proof feature. I noticed the bottle came in “Jade” which is my favorite color so it was a perfect match. Long story short I ordered and returned this bottle 3 times because they kept sending me the “Sage” color, even though it is not a color option listed on Amazon. I tried sending it back and complaining but I was still being sent the wrong color. As you can see in the picture this mug is more of a dark grey/green which is not what I wanted but I accepted my fait that I will never get the color I wanted.Overall the mug is great, but the mouth piece is pretty deep and awkward to fit your mouth on at first, but with time you get used to it.

Beat Contigo, Yeti, and Stanley in my testing
I’ve purchased Contigo, Yeti, and Stanley bottles, among others and this OXO is the best thus far, if you’re looking to transport hot beverages.Leakproof was my main concern and I test by pouring boiling water from my tea kettle into the bottle, screwing on the lid, then inverting the bottle twice. Contigo, Yeti, and Stanley bottles shockingly all started spraying out hot water through the treads there the lid screws to the bottle and in some cases though the sealed opening where you are to drink from. This OXO bottle was the only one that did not leak. In fact, when I rotated the lid to it’s open position for drinking the pressure it was containing from the hot water and steam escapes like with a woosh. The others could not contain the pressure, and instead allowed the hot water to be forced out where their seals are inadequate. This I certainly didn’t expect from the Yeti, but had to return it as well.I make a hot tea, of fill with coffee and put bottles in my shoulder bag, on the car seat next to me while I get organized, or under the airline seat in front of me. I don’t want a bottle that leaks when hot liquid sloshes around a little inside. The lid is a little bit more difficult to clean than the Contigo, but comes apart in about the same fashion as the Yeti. The open and close position of the lid’s valve achieved by rotating the lid and if has a nice red indicator inside to indicate closed position. Opening and closing for drinking requires two hands, unlike the Contigo I tried with the read push-button release, but I don’t find this a problem for the way I use it, and am willing to use two hands to get a bottle that is actually leak-proof.Only improvement I can see after using it for a couple weeks is Iâd prefer if the direction you rotate the upper half of the lid to allow for drinking was in the counter-clockwise direction. This is more natural when unscrewing any bottle or jar, so I find myself still having to think before opening to sip.

Really keeps things cold!
Although the instruction indicate that the container should NOT be used with carbonated beverages! I would disagree completely! I use it with ice and carbonated soda almost daily and I a very pleased with the performance! I recommend it highly! [I own 3 of them!]

Can your Stanley cup do this?
I love oxo travel coffee mugs. Unlike other travel coffee mugs, these don’t leak and they seal completely. I can fill my travel coffee mug and toss it in my backpack and not have to worry about coffee leaking all over everything. I’ve also used it for cold beverages and they stay cold all day. After I bought the small one I went ahead and bought a larger size one also. And with this travel coffee mug I rarely have coffee down the front of my shirt.

Good Until You Go To Clean It
Start off with the positive. This is a well made mug. Quality materials and everything fits as intended with no struggle. It keeps coffee hot for hours, and is indeed spillproof when closed. Comfortable opening to sip or drink from. Easy enough to hold with a matte somewhat grippy paint. The downside comes when you go to clean it. With mugs like this, the lid is always complex ideally in two ways. One way, they make it easy to close and remain leakproof, and in the other way they design it to be easy to clean. The second way is where this thing falls short. The lid breaks down into 4 separate pieces to properly clean it. One of those pieces is a silicone gasket that I’m betting gets overlooked by some owners. That gasket is wedge shaped at the top and has a double-ribbed grove on the bottom. The bottom of this gasket gets nastier than any other part of the lid, and it is a pain to clean thoroughly.Because this “SimplyClean⢔ thing is so cumbersome to clean, you might be tempted to just rinse it out “real good” and use it for a few days before breaking it down to clean properly. Don’t do that. You will be disgusted by the black slime that collects under that gasket. You will struggle to get the gasket clean because of the thin groove/ribs and that slime does not just rinse off, you have to scrape it out.Break it down and clean it daily, no exceptions. It’s a pain compared to other mugs I’ve owned, and I’m probably going to buy another one of those previous mugs and keep this as a backup.

Was looking for a mug that held temp (hot) better than the Yeti Rambler, but still was dishwasher safe. This one seems to be the right amount of give and take. Some of the pieces are pretty small, but we throw them in the small items basket and they seem to clean up well. I do wonder if you can buy replacement pieces like you can with the Yeti though… If not that could potentially shorten the lifespan.Holds things warmer noticeably better than the Yeti, and I’ve actually burnt myself a few times because of it. This is good for me because I’m caffeine sensitive but only like espresso drinks, not regular coffee. So I have to have a drink over 6 hours lol and don’t like lukewarm drinks. With the Yeti the primary point for heat to escape is the lid, whereas on this it’s right around the silver band where the top screws on.Compared to the 20oz Yeti I also find it’s easier to hold (I have small hands). It gets in the way on a desk less since it has a narrower footprint.
