Great Press!!
Love this coffee press, wife wanted coffee but didn’t like the Keurig, so she wanted something that could cut down on waste. We take this everywhere, to the campsite, the in – laws, the picnic. allows us to make coffee and tea everywhere. the included grinds puller makes it soo much easier to clean and maintain. all the pieces, come apart to make cleaning a quick job. All in all, wife loves it.

Great quality!
I have many different french presses, but this one rapidly became my favorite.First, the grounds tray makes getting most of the used grounds out of the press REALLY easy – no more vigorous shaking of banging on the side of the trash can, accidentally splattering grounds on the wall/floor/cat! There’s very little space between the bottom of the press and the grounds tray so very little waste as well. Great design addition!Second, it pours well. Most of my presses have poorly formed spouts that will end up drippling coffee on my counter if i’m not REALLY careful. This one pours beautifully!Third – protective cage. I’ve lost too many good presses by accidentally banging the glass portions, shattering them while trying to clean. This model incorporates a partial steel cage which acts like armor, for which I am appreciative.All in all, a good quality product that not only performs its basic function well, but includes features to make it stand out from the rest. OXO products do not disappoint!Rating – 5 stars. Does its job, does it well. A joy to use every morning!

High-quality, and well-designed, too.
This French press coffee maker is used every morning, and it’s worked out great. It’s also very attractively designed, and the grounds “catcher” makes clean-up a breeze, allowing us to easily add our used coffee grounds to our stainless steel composter on our counter (later emptied to the large composter in our organic garden). I highly recommend it.

Great lifter, cheap plastic parts
This does exactly what it says it will: it easily lifts all the spent grounds out of the carafe and into my countertop compost pail. I love french press coffee, but with a septic system I hate to rinse those remaining grounds down the drain. No biggy for one day, but it starts to add up. The base and handle are really easy to hold and nicely finished. The mesh filter assembly is also really nice; the way the mesh curls up around the spring is much better than my Bodum. However. There are no marks on the carafe or holder to indicate water level, and the lid, push button & lifter are made of really cheap plastic. The lid and push button especially so. They are thin with stamped, sharp edges, which is contrary to every OXO product I’ve ever purchased. For $40+tax I expect a better quality build. My $10 Bodum puts this to shame. It works so well and its other qualities mean I won’t return it, and I guess I can just eyeball the water level, but at $44 this is overpriced.

Great press and worth the price.
I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. I’m not disappointed. It’s high quality, but I will admit the carafe seems fragile, but I’ve had no problems so far. It makes great coffee and although they say it holds 32 ounces, the coffee takes up some of that producing about 24-26 ounces of coffee, or two large cups.I’d buy this again. OXO makes good stuff!

Pretty much cleans itself
I like this a lot. I have been using it for loose tea. After steeping, rarely is there anything left behind when I pull out the bottom piece. It’s very nice not having to reach inside with my hand to get remaining tea leaves out.Some French Presses do not allow you to see through. I enjoy seeing the color of the liquid as the tea steeps. That can also help in knowing when to end the steep.One other nice thing is that there is a notch on the plunger lid that fits around the handle of the bottom piece. If that handle is in line with the handle of the press, then the plunger top is lined up for pouring.Well thought out piece of equipment.

This product exacerbates the exact problem It was designed to solve
I’m an industrial designer, and have experience in French Press design and patent technology. The gimmick on this product is one I have considered before, but have never implemented due to a few problems I found inherent in the design. When I saw this, I thought ‘Oh cool, OXO has figured it out! They would be the ones!’ They did not. The first time I pressed some coffee, hot water and grounds shot out of the small gab created by the metal grounds scoop handle, spraying me, my counter, my sink. Not fun.The second time, after ensuring the lid was firmly in place before plunging, provided no better results. Hot water and grounds overflow the gap in between the lid and glass, spraying just as far and wide.Every time I have made coffee, the flow of coffee from the spout becomes heavily restricted due to the amount of grounds making it past the mesh and clogging the spout guard. I had to pull the lid off and pour my coffee through a mesh strainer to get the rest out.To top it all off, its harder to clean than my years old Bodum, day in and day out. there are so many grounds clogging the filter top and sides, and the spout grille that I spend twice as long washing it. This product exacerbates the exact problem It was designed to solve!!I was a barista once upon a time, and I have been a press-a-day drinker for years. I have the correct size freshly made grounds, the correct water temp, I’m not over filling it. Doing everything right. Dont get this, it’s horrible.

Buy it!!! And move on from drip coffee makers!
First one came broken, but it was quickly replaced by Amazon. Bought this for my husbands birthday. He loves coffee, but always used a regular coffee maker. I bought him this press, whole beans, a bean grinder, and an electric kettle. Itâs amazing how much better his cup of joe is each morning now! We did a taste test both ways – French press was amazing compared to drip! Plus this press is modern, streamline, and functional! Easy to pop in the dishwasher and comes out sparkling clean. Def a 10/10
