Why should you buy this coffee maker?Well first of all it brews coffee with very hot water. No need of electricity and filters. The hot almost boiling water exctract the maximum flavor from the coffee so you can buy lower quality coffee and still get a great cup of coffee.I also use this with roasted Barley and Chicory and have an excellent result.Clean up is very easy just under the water faucet or in dishwasher: I have done it both ways.Very good for herbal tea such as loose flowers Chamomille herbal at night.All around it is a very nicely made French Press coffee maker and this one works well with fine grinds too (it will leave a hint of a trail).The design is clean and elegant and I used it for after dinner coffee. It makes exactly 4 cups of the traditional chinaware most people have for holidays use. So instead of serving drip brewed coffee you serve French Pressed and your guests feel extra special.Price is very good.It is also a sustainable item which means to me something that I can use over and over without buying filters or made out of plastic.I highly suggest this for ONE person or a couple.

I LOVE this French Press. I am a coffee snob and I buy very selective beans. The last few drips I have had has been amazing. It brings out so much flavor. The covering keeps the coffee warm for a while It is very sturdy. and looks great on my counter. Metal gets a bit hot.
The Press generally works as it should. However, the metal handle & the top both get uncomfortably hot.and if you don’t hold the top knob down, the screen can push all the way back out spilling grounds into your cup and on the counter. Still better to have too warm metal and get a pot holder than have black plastic of unknown composition.

Excellent press. Love that it doesn’t press the grounds all the way – much better coffee flavor. The decorative metal sheath surprisingly helps retain some heat and keeps the coffee warmer for a little longer than expected. Also, a very important feature, is its aesthetic quality – this press actually looks nice on the counter and I don’t feel compelled to hide it in the cabinet when not in use! This press is sold on other sites for ten dollars more so this was a major steal!! Very happy with purchase.

Very well made, works very well, no problems with this item at all. Very happy with this purchase, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a very good French Press coffee/tea maker for a very reasonable price! It does the job very well and is constructed so well that it should last an extremely long time. I use it at least 3 times a week and it has consistently worked well and hasn’t shown any signs of deterioration at all, even after months of use and several trips though the dishwasher.

Lines Wore Off Quickly
After daily use over only a few months, the lines marking the water level began to wore off. After about 6 months of use, I can no longer see the water level markers.
