Amazing little device!
Purchased the Outin Nano to use on a trip to the Marshall Islands and wanted make sure I had good coffee. Along with the Nano I purchased a hot water maker about the same size, and a food storage jar to bring some espresso ground coffee. So far Iâve made 60+ shots with my setup and love the portability and convenience of this setup.Pros:1. If you heat your water separately, the battery lasts forever.2. Great tasting shots if you get your fill amount and tamp right.3. Ultimate portability and build quality is very good.Cons:1. The little scoop is very easy to lose and I donât think you can buy a replacement from Outin.2. No fill line for coffee, makes it hard to be consistent.3. If you use it to heat the water it needs to be charged frequently.Overall I love this thing, total game changer for someone that loves good coffee and travels frequently. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and functionality of the Outin Nano, definitely buy if you need a portable espresso machine!

An impressive machine
I was extremely satisfied with this machine. It yields a very well-balanced espresso and having the convenience of a hot water heating is so handy when on the road. The battery life is very impressive. I have made at least 80 cups of espresso and itâs still about half charged! Wow!! Great job! I even ordered one for a Christmas present for my Dad.

Great little espresso machine
This is exactly what I was looking for, small equipment good to take anywhere that make good coffee. It is easy to operate and stylish. Bonus points for Nespresso capsules compatible. I bought it for my up coming trip but have been using it everyday since I got it. Read somewhere that it has to be ina carry on. Do not put in check luggage but that should not be a problem, it is small and light weight.

End results amazing! A few issues to be improved
Alright. I’m a lifelong espresso drinker. Every morning. I make my morning latte every day. Someone gave me a Vienna Plus espresso machine and it’s saved my life and pocket book. The biggest problem I’ve had is when I go camping. I’d been doing those iced coffee Starbucks packets, but they were always so sweet and don’t hit the mark for me. On my camping/road trips I spent too much of my budget just making sure I’m caffeinated. And now I’m not giving my money to Starbucks (union busting my friends in Seattle) so I looked for other options.I thought about upgrading my solar battery to a larger output so I could bring my Vienna Plus espresso machine, but that’s ridiculous and big, and also expensive to upgrade to a high enough output. But I was tempted. Then someone mentioned this Outin compact espresso machine on their outdoorsy YouTube channel. (Modern Self Reliance) I don’t think he was sponsored by them, but just wanted to give a review. I put it in my mind bank because it was $140 at the time. Honestly still a reasonable price with the results I have. But then it was on sale for Prime Day at $111. I thought I’d give it a shot (pun intended). They take returns if I don’t like it.Let me tell ya.I was actually shocked. It might pull better shots than my Saeco Vienna Plus. And the espresso has a more sweet balance, which I like.Positives. Awesome shots, portable, charges fairly fast, but I recommend charging the night before if you have coffee dysfunction in the morning. It will use most of the battery for 3 shots. Works really well for iced latte.Negatives. Takes quite a while to heat up between shots (you can preheat the water to shorten this time). You need to watch out when you unload the spent coffee for the next shot because it can be really hot. The set up was confusing per the instructions and I needed to go to YouTube. There was a random piece that didn’t seem to be needed and maybe I’ll figure that out later. It says it takes Nespresso pods, but I absolutely could not figure out how to fit them in the space nor how it was supposed to puncture the pod, so I just cut open the pod and tamped the espresso directly in the device. At that point I may as well just buy pre-ground espresso for cheaper. Lesson learned. The instructions and pieces need to be color coded because all I can see in the pictures are “put this thing in this black cylindrical piece”. Which is almost all of the pieces! Maybe it was my eyesight. Maybe it was my lack of having had coffee. But I can imagine someone with a disability finding this confusing. [Update: When I was fully caffeinated I realized the extra piece was the slot for the pods. D’oh! See, this is why they should be color coded. But crisis averted for the rest of the trip. Which went great except for one particularly cold morning and the water was too cold to heat up the 3 double shots I was pulling. Pre heating the water is a good idea if you can.]Overall, despite those negatives, I recommend this device for those who have roughed it when going camping and hate that part of camping without a comforting espresso. It’s a nice little luxury amongst bugs and the 100°+ weather at Lake Siskiyou that we are being cursed with.Dare I say I might even be tempted to use this at home as well. Maybe. It does take a lot longer. But I really like the flavor of the shots. Highly impressed!

Great
Bought as a Christmas gift. My husband couldnât wait to try it. He said the coffee even tasted sweeter than the hand pump espresso machine I bought him a few years ago. Seems like it build well, feels good in your hand. He said the brewing capacity is smaller than heâs used to but glad thereâs attachments or accessories to make the capacity bigger. Cleans easy. Electric pump works decently fast, love the fact you can use cold water and it will give it temperature but also depends on the battery level, or you can use hot water. I love that it comes with the options for making your own espresso or a pod. Wish the cases werenât as expensive. But heâs happy. I wanted to give him a gift of espresso on the go since he is always traveling for work. He takes these all over the world. Will post updates as he uses this more.

Very impressed
Coming from an espresso snob, I bought this machine to use when traveling. Have used with Peetâs and Lâor capsules with great, smooth espresso without bitterness and robust crema. My only wish is that it could fit a double shot capsule, but I didnât find any other manufacturer that could do that either. So if you want a true double shot you gotta do two singles. If you fill to the double shot line and use a single shot capsule or a 8g of grounds (about all that would fit) then youâll just get a diluted single shot in a double shot volume. This is a small price to pay for the convenience and great taste

The quality is excellent. The size is convenient but slightly heavy. It is easy to clean. It can use both capsules and ground coffee powder, which is the main reason I love it. Highly recommend.

Size of a small vacuum flask and probably about the same weight so easily portable in a back pack. It will brew espresso from ground coffee or nespresso pods. The battery lasts 3 to 4 espressos using cold water straight from the tap before it gives up-water from a bottle that has reached ambient temperature might give a bit more.Using hot water from a vacuum flask brews a whole lot more, the flask capacity becoming the limiting factor rather than the battery.Even when using cold water, brewing is quick and the hopper and filter are easy to clean out for the next brew. All good and very easy to make âespresso with viewâ.
