Great size, design, and 100% metal grinding mechanism
***UPDATE 10/3/2014***So, after almost four months of pretty heavy daily use I just wanted to report back that this grinder continues to work perfectly and shows every sign of lasting for years to come. I especially like the glass jar so I can see when Iâm running low on black peppercorns, and even though itâs got a small form factor it holds a lot so I donât have to refill it for several months despite using it multiple times daily. Iâm super happy with this product all around and recommend it highly!!!***PLEASE NOTE: This review is only for the more expensive version here with the all metal grinding mechanism and not the cheaper version that looks the same but has a ceramic grinder thatâs also available on this page â hope this helps avoid potential confusion.Been using this for a few days now and am very happy so far. Iâve used a traditional wood pepper mill my whole life, but now itâs just me so I wanted something smaller and with a glass body so I can easily see when I need to add more peppercorns. I also wanted an all metal grinding mechanism (that this version has for an few dollars more) instead of ceramic, which doesnât seem to hold up as well, and I definitely wanted no plastic parts involved in the actual grinding either â donât need any more microplastics in my diet thank you. This one seemed to check all the boxes, and so far itâs been great. Initially it was set to a more fine, powdery grind, but it was super easy to adjust to a more course grind that I prefer and itâs perfect. Overall it seems well built and is very easy to use, and as long as this holds up itâs a definite keeper. Iâll report back if any future mishaps, but as of now Iâd recommend this very highly!

Best Salt Grinder I’ve Ever Owned
Really like this grinder. Works well and has a cap that’s easy on/off. Mainly got it for courser salts that won’t work in a regular shaker. Overall good quality, really worth the purchase.

Perfect for me
I bought this same grinder a while ago, and how I have a second one – my set is complete. They work perfectly, are adjustable, clean, the lid fits well and I think they look great too.

Attractive, functional, adjustable!
Okay – I ordered this because I needed to grind some flax seeds for my morning meals. I’m new to meal-prepping and was doing a week’s batch of my “porridge” breakfast and needed five tablespoons of ground flax seeds. I’m not exaggerating when I say it took me over 30 minutes of almost continual twisting to get that volume of flax seeds ground. This grinder would be great for pink salt (as pictured) or peppercorns for a to-taste meal seasoning! I have ordered an electric seed/grain grinder for suture seed grinding (my wrists are sore!!) and will turn this cute grinder into my pepper grinder from now on!The brushed nickel look on the grinder is attractive and looks nice with my stainless steel appliances and the glass base is easy to see the contents. The wide mouth of the glass container makes it easy to fill and it will be easy to clean, as well. The lid that easily snaps into place protects the flavor of whatever you’re grinding, preventing contamination if left out in the open (I will keep it on the back of my stove, so the lid is important!)The dial inside the grinder allows you to adjust the coarseness of the pepper or salt (or flax seeds!)Over all – I’m pleased with the grinder, even if I won’t be using it for flax seeds in the future! 😀

Get the carbon steel grinder
Like “About this item” says, the carbon steel rotor produces “finer and easier grinding” than the ceramic one. Also ceramics are more difficult to make precisely; for one, they shrink during manufacture. And they tend to break far more easily than steel. The additional $7 is far more than worth it in my opinion.I do not have any of the problems that some reviewers buying the ceramic version seem to have had (which might well be related to the lower precision and breakage problems above). The Ebaco replaced my previous transparent acrylic grinder that failed after a quarter century or so because a thin metal holding-pin broke off. The Ebaco is a lot fancier, clearly, with a real glass and stainless steel exterior. (And appears to be a lot sturdier, although even thick glass can break, I guess.)The fineness of my old grinder was not really adjustable, and the Ebaco can grind finer than that (and much finer than the cheap throw-away grinders that they tend to package with peppercorn refills). But I have the Ebaco set on about the same fineness as my old grinder. I am used to that.Somewhat to my surprise, the Ebaco grinds much faster than my old grinder. My old grinder needed roughly five times the number of strokes of the Ebaco; I am not kidding. One additional much appreciated feature of the Ebaco is the cover of the grinding section. My old grinder used to drop some pepper on the shelf whenever put back in the cupboard, which accumulated over time.A final, ambiguous, difference is that the Ebaco is a lot wider than my old grinder, maybe twice as wide. That means it takes up more shelf space, but probably also holds more peppercorns (I did not test). It also means that it is more comfortable for me to grip the Ebaco from its end (I have some arthritis in my middle finger); I used to grip my old grinder from the side (which was the only way to do it). But gripping from the end works just as well for me as gripping my old grinder from the side.
I bought this but got other thing…. And even not able to return it…. Don’t buy anything from this seller…. Horrible experience… –
It’s really good product…. not only for peeper it works on various spices…. value for money

It is a rugged easy-to-use pepper mill. It works well and I am happy with that.

This design where you invert and twist the grinder has been copied by lots of makers or maybe the all come out of same factory? Solid glass which holds lots of pepper or salt with adjustable grind size. All one could possibly need!

I bought this product looking at the ratings. First of all, it was delivered in a different size than the picture shown on Amazon. It too tall. I didn’t need that big. I still kept it. But, now, it’s just not working. Doesn’t crush the pepper at all as one can see in the video. I can’t replace it as I threw the box since I had no intent of returning as such. An absolute waste!!
