    Good quality and quiet
Like the option of selecting cup or time for grinding amount. Also ease of burr removal for cleaning nice feature. Do wish the bean hopper held more for less frequent filling, but overall, a very nice coffee grinder.

    Nice, a little messy
Really nice grinder. The user interface is a little frustrating. You always have to hit a button to wake it up, hit another button to select the grind time, and then hit the power to start the grind. Just let me hit the power button and go! The catcher cup doesn’t fit as secure as others I’ve tried. And it does tend to make a mess. Shake it around before you pull the cup out to get what’s left in the chute to fall into the cup or you’ll have a HUGE mess on your hands.

    Nice grinder, a few quirks
Overall this is a really nice grinder. I like that there are range of options for grind level. It also has the option of grind by cups of coffee you’re making or for a specific amount of time. This is really nice so you can grind just what you want, fresh. However, the cup that the beans go in does not secure into place well. A few times now I have tried to pick the item up to move it, gripping onto the top cup, and it has lifted out and coffee beans have gone everywhere. This seems like a silly design flaw that could have easily been fixed. For durability, I was washing the clear cup that holds the beans and dropped it, just from my hand to the bottom of the sink, and a piece chipped off, which is shame. I would hope the item would be a bit more durable for the price. But overall, it is a good grinder and does what it should.

    Quiet
This coffee grinder is really good! I have another brand, and it’s loud. I like that with a simple twist of the hopper and I can adjust the grind size. I wish the cup size was a little larger, but overall, it’s still good. I noticed that at first, it was a tad messy when you removed the cup, but after giving the side of the grinder a good knock with my knuckles, less so.Overall, I’m really happy to have this grinder!

    Touch Keypad Dead on Arrival
This did not work. The touch keypad was unresponsive. I couldn’t get it to do anything. Don’t waste your money.

Compact, solid, great for the price
I ordered “Ollygrin Conical Burr Coffee Grinder Electric Coffee Bean Grinder with Digital Timer 30 Precise Grind S” because my DeLonghi fancy-shmancy all-in-one espresso maker died. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars to replace it, I decided to go back to an old-school coffee maker.Fresh-ground beans make the best coffee in my opinion, so I purchase whole coffee beans and grind them myself. At first I was using my wife’s old whirly grinder which literally just smashes beans into grounds. It requires a bit of inconvenience for every use to take off the lid, pour in the beans, replace the lid and run the grind cycle, then remove the lid and pour out the grounds while usually spilling them, and then clean up.Conversely, I now love being able to pour a few days supply of beans into the clear hopper, dial in the grind courseness if I want to change it to a different setting, then I can easily grind exactly the amount I want for a single brewing. The unit is small, but heavy for its size, indicating a solid grinder mechanism and sufficiently powerful motor. It stays in place and does not scoot around when nudged during insertion of the grounds catcher container. It makes some noise when you run it, as expected. The control panel on its front face is completely black until the power sensor is touched in its center. Then when it lights up, you can choose either the number of cups for which to grind the beans, or the number of seconds for a timed grind. When ready, you touch the power sensor in the center again and it commences the grind. This was a little confusing to me at first since I instinctively thought it would turn the unit off because it had turned it on. However, there is no OFF button, so you simply do your grinding and let the unit turn off automatically a few minutes later. The entire top/hopper turns as a dial for setting the grind courseness in three ranges – Espresso, Drip, and French Press. There are 10 degrees within each of the 3 ranges. I am using “11”, which is the finest in the Drip range. There is a little bit of fine grounds which fall out of the unit after removing the catcher basket. But it is no messier than any other coffee system I imagine. The unit comes with a little brush you can use to clean the burr grinder teeth. Instructions say to not use “carmelized” beans, which might mean flavored coffees.
