Easy to use brewing kit!
So, I’ve never brewed before. I figured it’d be really difficult and would be something I’d have to tinker with for quite a while.Not so! This kit came with some very easy to follow instructions and really good and useful tips. They go about telling you how to mix everything, where to store it, how to check if it spoiled, etc.. The kit also doesn’t force you to buy their own proprietary products to make another batch, it simply just tells you what you need, and what to replace once you’re done.Mine is sitting in my closet, brewing away, so when it’s done, I’ll hopefully come back and leave a review on how it went!I’m happy I went with the kit, super easy, not a bad price and really gives you an idea if this is a good hobby for you, without spending a couple hundred bucks.

I have been considering trying my hand at home brewing for a while now since I LOVE craft beers. After looking through all of the starter kit options I decided to give small batch brewing a try. This kit contains everything needed to brew 1 gallon of beer, except the bottles. Here are some great features to this kit:1. The kit includes everything needed to brew your own beer.2. The price is awesome for anyone who is unsure whether they want to try their hand at brewing or not. Also very reasonable price for a gift.3. Pick your style of beer. There are several options, and the selection of small batch recipe kits offered by Northern Brewer is ASTOUNDING!4. Easy to follow instructions AND a DVDs guide. Received the glass little big mouth bubbler and contents to make the IPA. Unfortunately when filling the bubbler with HOT tap water (per the directions), it cracked. Given this is a glass item, this stuff happens, but was disappointing.What was NOT disappointing was the excellent customer service I received when I contacted the seller. They responded back to me promptly and replaced the glass bubbler with a plastic one. Further they provided me with additional hops content as we had started the process (not sure how the original one will come out given I only had a 5 gallon bucket handy for 1 gallon of beer!). I am very pleased with the courteous tone, the quick response, and the fact that this company went above and beyond what I was hoping for.I would recommend this kit (with the plastic bubbler) to anyone. The directions are easy, and it was really a fun process!

Great beer kit for beginners!
I bought this kit last year so my boyfriend and I could attempt to brew our own beer. The kit is great, and we used both the provided written instructions as well as their youtube video to work through the steps. The beer turned out great!We eventually moved across the country and had to leave this kit behind, but we recently purchased one of their five gallon brew kits to start making a larger amount of beer. We will review that kit once we have our beer ready!

Turned Out Great
I bought this with some trepidation about whether I could really make beer that was good. I’ve cooked for years and always follow new recipes exactly the first time. So I approached this the same way and followed the instructions exactly.After I put the beer in the fermenter I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It started bubbling the 2nd day and a large foam formed on top of the liquid. After a week the bubbling had completely stopped the foam subsided. I had the fermenter in a cabinet in my basement which was around 68F.The next week there wasn’t much to see as it lay looking dormant. At 2 weeks I bottled the beer. A week and a half later I tried one of the beers and it tasted great with a good head on the beer. It tasted to me very similar to Big Sky’s Moose Drool.I will definitely be making more beers. Norther Brewer’s kit was great. I made sure to tighten the spigot and test it for leaks. I had to put quite a bit of pressure to get it tight enough. I did mess up a couple of bottle caps before I got the feel and now it’s pretty easy.I highly recommend this.

This is a very neat set, It arrived on time and in good condition. The items are as described. I have not brewed it yet. Too busy, I would buy it again or gift it.

The DVD instructions were missing but otherwise the product is easy to use; could use a clip to stop the tubing from flipping out of the jar, but clothespegs work well enough.

Fermenter came cracked. I cleared out the glass shards, but it’s still leaking at the spigot. Should have gotten a plastic one instead.

This is a Christmas gift so not tried the product yet but it arrived quicker than expected and I really like the presentation of the product.

Ill say this. This is a good kit for people that want to get into brewing. You will gain the basic knowledge from this kit. Its not bad. The only thing i really dislike is the siphon tool, it was really sqeaky and hard to work. The bottling task is not meant for one person. I was alone while doing this and it was frustrating. I found a siphon tool at my local store that was way better and worked for one person. The taste of the beer wasnt bad too, decent. Only thing it didnt have was a gravity tool. I can understand why, its just for beginners.Overall 3.5/5 stars i would give.
