Northern Brewer
As brewers, we’re always working to improve the next batch. And because Northern Brewer was built by homebrewers for homebrewers.

When founder Chris Farley first opened the doors in 1993, life was different. Wine coolers were cool. And craft beer wasn’t even born yet. At Northern Brewer, we started out with just one mission: To help our fellow homebrewers make great beer. Even though times have changed, our mission hasn’t. And because of that, we’ve grown from that tiny storefront to become the largest homebrewing and winemaking supplier in America.

Great Beer
A winner of a beer. Easy to brew and tastes great.2 things you should know though1. This beer turned out way darker than the pic. This is due to being an extract kit and a relatively small volume. But this in no way affected the flavor. Just an FYI.2. I lost a significant portion of this beer to racking. Due to the many additions of hops etc there is a lot of sediment and this took 3 rounds of racking for me to get the beer clear enough to drink. I want to say I lost a gallon total, but to be fair I didnât measure.Still an awesome beer and have already bought another. I will attempt to minimize my losses of volume and try a few tricks this time to try for a better color, but Iâm not stressed about either.

Fiance Loved This!
So, I know this sounds sappy but we both ended up getting each other the same gift idea for Christmas last year. He got me a wine kit, I bought the beer kit for him. We decided to start a new adventure for the new year by making this. It was awesome! We had a lot of fun making this together and watching it brew. I’m not a big IPA fan, but he loved the beer (which is all I care about). Definitely recommend this company and their kits. The instructions were easy to follow and we were able to make a great batch of beer from it!

Best porter ever.
This is one of my all time best batches. I added 1/2 cup of whole coffee beans in secondary after 3 weeks. 3 days later I removed the coffee beans and let it continue in secondary for 1 more week. The finished product is quite delicious. I will brew again and next time will do all grain. It is close to Irish Death with coffee and Bourbon overtones.

Mild-tasting brown ale – kit works fine.
This kit was complete and worked as intended to make a passable, but somewhat bland brown ale. Certainly not bad beer, but not complex, and I wish I had added more hops or a different malt. Does what it says on the label!

The best there ever was!
I have been brewing now for almost 10 years. I like the kits because they are easy, and for the most part, all have been very good beers. I have dabbled between Northern Brewer (#1), Boomchugalug (#2) and Brewer’s Best (#3). Out of all the kits I have used, this beer by far stands alone. In fact, I think its the best IPA I have ever made. An IPA has many unique flavor profiles, and can be scary experimenting with a kit trying to make one. This one is a can’t miss! Definitely a beer kit I am ordering again and will maintain in my rotation.

Good base
I replaced the coffee beans with a Bourbon Vanilla creme coffee bean, added Agave, two large spoons of honey, tspn of cinnamon, 3 thin slices of ginger, higher yeild yeast(13%) testing my Christmas holiday Coffee Stout

Fun kit
This was a fun project, my first attempt at milk stout. Came out very good, great chocolate flavor, but not too heavy. My family liked it at least.

All You Need to Create a Tasty Brew
I’m a newbie to brewing beer, but this kit made it very easy to execute. All of the ingredients required were included. Packaging was clear. Instructions were very easy to follow. I definitely recommend the product and will certainly try other kits from this company.
