Light berry undertone
This North Coast Roasting Company whole bean coffee smells absolutely fabulous as I grind it. The that is what I would call a medium, but it’s on the darker end of medium. It’s a medium bodied coffee and is rich and smooth going down. The acidity is on the lower end and doesn’t upset my stomach the way higher acidity can. There’s is a very light berry undertone to the flavor, otherwise, it’s just a good general cup of coffee.

So Good
I love the taste and freshness of this delicious caffeinated organic roast! Because itâs low acidity, itâs not upsetting to my stomach! It goes down smooth and still has a good amount of strength to the taste coffee coffee coffee! No acne. Thatâs the way I like it!

Not too dark a taste, fresh beans
I donât like super burnt dark coffee. I prefer a more blond roast, but mid roast generally works. I have never had Papua New Guinea coffee before. I like this coffee a lot. It was slightly oily which is good and ground for espresso well. The shots had a nice crema and were flavorful. I did prefer a little sweetness added but overall found the flavor to be rich but not too much. Iâm not sure if Iâll return to this coffee as I prefer Jamaican blends but I totally recommend this as a great coffee to try if you are a coffee connoisseur. Recommend.

smells great, sturdy bag, solid medium roast
My bag arrived with a best by date in 2025. The bag was very sturdy and had both twisty ties and a tape reseal tape available to close the bag after opening. I noticed the smell was amazing upon opening. It was very strong and the bean smell potent. I noticed the same smell during my brewing process. I used a coarse grind and percolator brew to test the test. The flavor was not very smoky, roast-y or over sweet like a dark roast, but the coffee does have some body. The coffee was not bitter but had a little bit of acidity. I can taste a berry note and I found the acidity mild enough to enjoy. This is pretty good for a medium roast coffee. I like that it is organic and the current $15 list price is reasonable for a quality organic coffee. While I usually prefer sweeter dark roasts, I will really enjoy smelling this in the morning for the next week.
