I love these. My wife uses them as is, and is fine with the results. I like my coffee much stronger. More like espresso. We use one grinder with a blend of espresso blend and a really good decaf. I don’t want to have a second grinder. So we use the same blend.
These leave a few grounds and silt in the coffee that I don’t like, so I bought some paper filters. But the paper filters don’t work well if there’s no paper top. Maybe water seeps down the side, avoiding the grounds?
With the paper top, it’s very weak. So I punch a hole in the top for the lid spout. See the pics.
I also over fill the basket and tamp it down just by tapping the basket on the counter. Using a press is too much. Lastly, adjusting the grind so as to hit the right size for the variables to ensure no bitter or sour taste.
The result is a pretty good coffee. Full flavoured, not bitter or sour.
They are solid construction and super easy to clean. It’s been a couple of months now, and no rust.

Just as described reusable and very easy to rinse. The rubber ring comes loose but you can easily put it back in place. Perhaps can be redesigned by adding a grove to keep the ring in place. Still a good product and by far better than the plastic ones out there.

Perfect coffee, easy cleanup, saves money over disposable K cups.
I have been through more than a few plastic ones; they suffer from poor quality mesh that either doesn’t allow the hot water to flow out well enough or the mesh would just not last. The hot water would back-up in them and flow out the top and down the sides, making a mess in the coffee maker and I would have to hold a bowl underneath the pod area and pour water in there to clean it up. And the coffee was weak. When I am working from home I need a good mug of ice coffee, dang it! Without mess. So I figured I would try this stainless one. It looks a lot like my favorite metal ‘tea bag’ that works very well so how bad could it be? It’s awesome. No mesh to fall apart, easy to clean, and the water flows through it (and the coffee) just right. My ice coffee mug today was wonderful and the Krups wasn’t a mess. Yea it’s only a coffee filter, but if it makes the coffee maker make good coffee without mess, well then I am happy. I’m trying to avoid single use Kcups, expensive and no good for the environment. This is almost as easy, a fraction of the cost in coffee, the coffee tastes good and there is no mess. And it didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Excellent Product!
Have tried the throw-a-ways in years gone by, but these are the keepers. Even when filled with regular ground coffee (no grinding), they make an excellent cup of coffee. There is a small about of dregs left in the cup but very small and not bothersome. I love these because they are not plastic (stainless steel mostly I think) and they seem durable and above all they make a great cup of decaf, which is my goal.
Review Update 12/06/2024: Although this product is the best of all the reusable K-cups I’ve tried over the years, dregs are still a big problem for me such that I have partially retired them for infrequent use and brought back the old drip maker for its filtration advantage using paper filters to eliminate dregs.

Excellent – Regret waiting so long to purchase these
These are awesome after using a set of purple plastic refillable coffee K-cup filters for almost two years. Easy to clean! Lids fit effortlessly onto bottom holder, and the best part is no coffee grinds in my coffee and no microplastics in my body! Highly recommend these as gifts.

Well made
They work great for what they were designed to do. We save money using our own coffee and tea vs the commercial pods. One of their better design features is also the only small problem we have. The lids fit so securely that you have to work a little harder to get them off again
