Makes good, hot coffee. Much better product than my last two brands of coffee makers.
I’ve used a Keurig & a Cuisinart for years. Both were dependable, but the coffee they made (pods or grounds) was always just “ok”, and never really hot enough.
This Ninja makes a far richer & hotter cup, and is especially good with grounds, which is what I most often use. It comes out of the machine at around 195F, and is around 175F in your cup when finished. Just right for me.
It doesn’t have a selection for just ‘hot water’, but all you have to do is put the (empty) brew basket in and hit ‘brew’ (You can also make a decent cup of hot tea by placing a tea bag in the brew basket.)
I use coffee and chicory, which is already stronger than ‘regular’ coffee. For my first ‘test cup’ I followed the recommended # of scoops (3), which is probably on point for regular coffee grounds like Folgers, MH, etc. My advice? Use only 1 good scoop with coffee and chicory! It’s definitely all you need for a good, strong, cup – and that was using the ‘classic’ setting.
The ‘rich’ setting was too strong with my coffee brand (Cafe du Monde), but that setting definitely works as advertised.
With the other maker brands I had to fill the brew basket, and the coffee was never strong enough. Not so with this machine. I’ll save $ by having to use about 2/3 less coffee per cup.
I like having the convenience of being able to use pods, when I’m lazy or in a hurry, but I really wanted a machine that would make coffee from grounds that tasted like brewed coffee, and this Ninja does it. Not to mention the pods are so much more expensive.
I have the model without the frother, so I can’t comment about that feature.
The appliance looks good, has a very slender footprint (long, but skinny) and it fits under my standard kitchen cabinets, even with the ‘lid’ fully open. I can even fill it using a pitcher without having to slide it out from under my cabinet, which is really nice. It’s close, but it can easily be done.
I’ve only had it a short time, so I can’t speak to how well it’ll hold up, if it’ll start clogging, etc. But so far, it’s the best coffee maker I’ve had of this type.
It takes a bit longer to brew than my previous makers, but as a result the coffee tastes like real coffee. It’s worth waiting an extra minute or so.

Fabulous!
I’m loving my new Ninja. I’ve had SO many different types of coffee makers. My favorite is a stovetop percolator. This is perfect especially since you can use pods or the basket filter. I don’t like the mess with the reusable baskets but oh well. I now use a small filter & it works great inside the basket filter to cut down on the messy grounds. The size is perfect & thin & love the water container in back. I use filtered water. Mine seemed noisy at first, but not a big deal I guess. I didn’t hear the maker on any of the videos that I watched prior to my purchase. I already have a frother, so I didn’t really need that. I have Our Place & Beautiful appliances so the cream color matched those pieces good enough. I did have some tiny droplets dripping from the condensation on the side, but that has stopped. I don’t see it being any hotter than any other coffeemaker. My last was a 4 cup stainless carafe Cuisinart, which I loved, except for the burner black covering wore off after 2 years. I think the heat is fine & I haven’t used the auto shut off yet bc I unplug all of my appliances after use & just plug them in when I use them. So far, I’m loving the basket more than pods. I like strong french roast coffee, so I use the basket w/ Gevalia French Roast in the morning- using less than a regular machine, which is great & I love the rich button. I have found that SBX Italian roast pods are fantastic. If you use a big mug just up the oz. I use a decaf pod in the evening, or just use empty pod basket for hot water. for tea or cocoa. I’m very pleased with the construction of this model w/ the cord caddy, storage drawer, spoon holder & water storage. It’s fabulous! Very pleased. *UPDATE: I purchased tiny filters for this & they work great but they’re a bit expensive. I have filters from my previous machine & have found that using a “regular small basket type filter” is able to fold over one side of the permanent filter just a tiny bit after fitting it into the basket. This works much better than the expensive super small filters & less messy because those tiny ones still allow some seepage of grounds into the gold basket. (That’s just me, but I don’t like the mess w/ only using a permanent filter). I wash the permanent filter by hand w/ a brush (& a toothbrush if needed) to make sure it’s spotless after each use. The brush works quick, great & removes oils & grounds from top piece. I really, really love this coffeemaker. It’s one of my favorite purchases. I use it 3-4 Ã day. It works perfectly.

This coffee maker rocks!!
Was a Keurig user for years continuing to buy one after the other when they gave out before their time.
I don’t know the longevity of this Ninja but have had it almost 4 months and it’s been awesome. Not only good coffee, but it is intuitive, e.g., while my coffee was brewing, the water went low, and it alerted me to add water and then picked up where it left off. No time or Kcup wasted. In the four months we descaled once. We also decided to use distilled water to help reduce calcium build up but that was our choice.
It is more attractive than the Keurig I had and slim so it fits into a narrow space next to our espresso machine. I did not get the one with the frother so can’t comment on that.
I’m actually, thinking of buying a second one I like it that much!!
Ninja did a great job!!

K CUPS ONLY
I really like this coffee maker! Iâm able to have iced coffee or Refreshers during the summer and warm drinks during the winter. Thereâs an option to make your coffee ârichâ which I almost always use. The directions for iced drinks is so simple just remember whatever ounce you choose, the machine will automatically 1/2 it to allow the perfect blend of melted ice and drink. The ratio is perfect. Itâs very easy to use and there was no learning curve from a Keurig. Also, this coffee maker is STUNNING. I get compliments on it all the time and it brews quickly! Beware though, I tried using a reusable k-cup like I always do with my Keurig and it splashed coffee everywhere. This occurred repeatedly until I went back to k-cups and the problem stopped. If youâre willing to exclusively purchased k-cups that are already filled, this is a good buy!!

What an utterly disappointing experience. It is beyond me as to why Ninja would sell ANY of their coffee makers on the Amazon UK site when they come with AMERICAN PLUGS! There is no mention of this in the listing anywhere. Selling a product no one can useâ¦.what is even the point. Donât let the reviews fool you, they are all from the Amazon US site just plastered on this UK posting to make it look good. Ninja makes great machines but not for users in the UK. Also, Amazon Customer Service is absolutely worthless. They said this machine could be used with a power adapter. It CANNOT. If you live in the UK and you need a very large paper weight, this is the right product for you.

ACTUALIZACIÃN despuÃ©s de 9 meses: La cafetera dejÃ³ de detectar la funcion de cÃ¡psulas. (Se le cayÃ³ un imÃ¡n al adaptador de pods)
SOLUCION: el adaptador para cÃ¡psulas de la cafetera tienen un pequeÃ±o imÃ¡n que se le cayÃ³ sin darnos cuenta por suerte lo encontrÃ© y lo volvÃ a poner donde va y volviÃ³ a detectar las cÃ¡psulas sin problema.
yo compre la version color beich pensando que la unica diferencia entre la beich y la de color negro era la maquina para hacer espuma, pero resulto que la de color beich no trae una funcion llamada Â¨SPECIALTY 4 ozÂ¨, que es la que te permite hacer los shots para los lattes y capuchinos.
Asi que si piensas comprar una de estas dos versiones recomiendo la que tiene la maquina para hacer espuma por su funcion extra y la diferencia en precios es minima. para que puedan sacarle mayor provecho a la cafetera.
En conclusion
La de color beich funciona excelente y la recomiendo bastante, pero si pudiera comprarla otra vez compraria la de color negro con la funcion especial para capuchinos y lattes.

Justo a un aÃ±o de comprarla, gran decepciÃ³n ! No puede ser que mi inversiÃ³n valga cero porque al adaptador de cÃ¡psulas se le ha salido un pequeÃ±o imÃ¡n. Y listo. Ya no la reconoce. Imposible que por esa pieza tan minÃºscula ya no sirva esta cafetera en su modalidad cÃ¡psulas !
