Great Quality is a small package.
This is a really nice coffee tool for travel. It is a little pricy but well worth the quality for a good cup of coffee. It is travel size, but I would not use it for light weight backpacking. It is not a lightweight rig.

Easy to use, great quality.
Great quality, easy to use, stacks perfectly for storage or travel. Makes one 8 oz. cup of coffee. Only wish the cup was 10 ounces to have more room for cream/milk. I think it was too pricey, but I’ve tried others and this is the best one as far as functionality goes. So, I am glad I made the investment.

Is this a full size Chemex/Bodum pour over? No. Is it too heavy to justify on a tenting trip? Yes. But between these facts is a void I wanted to fill: AirBBs and hotels with low quality in-room/-house coffee options. Packs great in weekender bag and luggage. Durable as heck. Definitely recommend stronger coffee (not just for this, but for life). I fill a fresh filter for each cup I make. Has made my mornings on the road so much better. Would not reco the grinder, it’s a little over the top IMO, just bring ground coffee. But it is really well made if you are that picky, which I wouldn’t judge you for.

Seems awesome. Shipped terribly.
I haven’t used it yet, and I’m sure it will be fine, or even great to have with my camping stuff. I’m upset because it came loose in an Amazon box, absolutely caked in dust in all the crevices and threads, and scratched up. I don’t have time to replace it before the trip I bought it for, so I’ll just have to get over it but sure wish it wash clean and shipped better.

VSSL Gear truly make high quality products. Our nesting kit is our camping and adventure go to. Makes great coffee and is so fun we often use it at home too. Our kit showed up badly packaged in an amazon bag, no padding and had torn open. Sadly it was scratched and dented. We did not want to go through the return process with Amazon but did contact VSSL that their products were being shipped poorly. They had me send pictures and promptly sent us a whole new nesting kit in flawless condition. Bottom line the price for quality is well worth it if you want a solid coffee kit for your adventures you need thisâ¦. get the grinder too.You will be happy with the investment!!!

Compact and Useful
I like this pour over mug, filter and cone and appreciate its simplicity and compact design. I would have given it 5 stars but, you can not put it in the dishwasher. However, itâs great for travel and sturdy enough to handle being transported to and from places. The stainless steel filter is really nice too and I believe it should stand up to repeated uses.

A Great Coffee Maker
This isn’t just a great coffee maker for folks on the go or in the field, it’s a great coffee maker for anyone looking to simplify, save space, and who just wants a one cup at a time. Just boil water, add grounds to the filter, pour over, and go. You also don’t have to worry about overfilling or underfilling. Just pour water nearly to the top of the filter and let it drip and you get the perfect cup every time. I find one heaping tablespoon of grounds is just the right amount for a brew.

Great little kit for pour-over on the go. It’s a little heavier than expected, so I probably wouldn’t want to hike with it, but it works perfectly and the clever design means the only other thing you need is a source of hot water. Love the little cups, probably won’t ever use the travel lid, but it’s nice to have just in case. Mine actually arrived missing the metal filter, but I contacted VSSL and they mailed me one for free super quickly, so that was great.
