Difficult to remove adhesive strip
Iâll just echo what many others have already said, these lids work fine and do decrease the amount of sediment, but compared to the original foil only lids, these are almost impossible to remove. Iâve refilled Nespresso Vertuo pods about 400 times with the old type foil lids and never had a problem. It previously took about 3 seconds to peel off the old lid. It took me several minutes to remove the adhesive from one new lid and I damaged the pod in the process. Kind of defeats the purpose for which these were made. Hopefully Nessus reads these negative reviews and modifies their product to be easier to use.Addendum: I have discovered that if you peel the lid off while the pod is still hot, it comes right off. A hassle to be sure but it works.

This works wellâ¦with qualifications
This tool works well.Two things will help you get a better cup of coffee.First, use fine ground coffee. Nespresso pods have finely ground coffee. This makes sense, and is similar to regular espresso machines. If you put a drip grindâ¦medium grind coffee into your pod, my guess is the coffee will taste weak. Most grocery stores sell whole beans, and have a grinder available. I just re grind any coffee i buy in their grinder and go as fine as it will grind.Second, take the time to align the aluminum lid using the raised ridge on the tool. If the lid is placed incorrectly, it may block the bar code on the bottom of the pod. You might see a red light on you machine as it shows an error. Iâve been able to just press the button again and it works. But since Iâve started paying attention, I donât have any error lights.I save up 10 to 20 pods, get a big bowl and make my own pods in bulk. The grounds are good for my garden. And the pods i have already used are easier to refill. The aluminum top has a tab, and I just pull it off. New pods need to be cut out with a small knife.

Easy to use, easy to remove â¦ fresh, aromatic coffee
Great value for money. Very easy to use and remove. We prepare about 15 pods per time since we are 4 coffee drinkers at the office. This covers make the process of pod-preparing a very easy task. Instructions are very clear and really easy for anyone to understand. The adhesive do not leave any bothersome residue in the pods, yet they close tightly the pods and help keep the coffee fresh and aromatic. Love the quality and how helps to keep the taste and aroma of my coffee intact for more time.

Not all aluminum
The covers are made out of paper with a thin layer of aluminum on top… there not as easy to remove because of the paper.. I’m not a fan of the design. They do fit well and easy to put on..

This has saved me hundreds of dollars
I will never buy pods again this has saved me so much money I just stop at Starbucks and grind my own espresso! Takes some getting used to how much to fill them but when you get it down it works amazing. The best part is they have a paper filter built in so you donât get coffee grinds in your coffee. And it fits perfectly and is easy to use!

Caused my machine to leak.
The originals without the filter works so much better. My machine clogged up within one to two days of use of these. Had to run the thing through a cleaning cycle before I could use it again. Even when you clean them off the filtered bit sticks the capsule, so you have to scrub the thing.
