I absolutely love this matcha cup. It’s crafted with a sturdy ceramic that holds up well with proper use and care. The soft surface, sheen, and shape comprise the perfect aesthetic. I don’t trust it in the dishwasher, however I haven’t tried it either. It’s easy enough to keep clean with a drop of dish soap and water. Using this cup makes me feel like I’m genuinely enjoying a fresh matcha latte in Japan, and we’ve even received a comment from a friend asking when we visited there. Truth be told, this is a piece not to go unnoticed or unused.5 Stars

It’s ok, but drips
This is an ok bowl. I wanted one with a spout. But I’ll probably keep looking.First, this doesn’t give the feeling of quality. The glaze has noticeable imperfections. It’s not major but it cheapens it.But my bigger issue is, no matter how carefully I pour from it, it drips a little bit from the spout and down the front.It works ok. It’s just a little irritating having to keep a paper towel handy to wipe it every time I pour.

I like the size, shape, and heft
I have not officially tried matcha tea yet, but have been gathering a few things to have on hand before I do. I already have a small fine mesh strainer in my kitchen, do not need any special ceremonial cups or even a bamboo spoon, but I am still deciding whether or not to use my Zulay milk frother or wait until I buy a bamboo style. My main concern with “anything” is durability, longevity (hence the indecisiveness about the bamboo whisks), and things that save space in my already small kitchen.Therefore, seeing this bowl w/pour spout available without any other accessories was a strong selling point. I also liked the idea of black to distinguish it from my other kitchenware, and that it’s size capacity would enable it to be used for other kitchen duties. In particular, I can see where the raised bowl shape fanning out upward from the bottom would enable whisking without touching the bottom directly. That, too, was a selling point by comparison to some of the other styles I had seen on the market. The price point is reasonable for me if I need to replace it (my husband is a rough handler in the kitchen).I look forward to trying this soon. It’s a basic but aesthetically pleasing piece that should perform it’s duty simply and adequately.
