It’s a bit of a learning curve – but once you have it? Great coffee maker!UPDATE!!!!!
I waited to give my review because I really wanted to know I had used it fully and could answer honestly. It’s a smaller footprint than my old Hamilton Beach Flex Brew and makes better coffee. TIP: If you like your coffee even stronger than the strong brew button makes? Use a Columbian blend or dark roast blend. Fill the grounds basket for a 10 cup pot but fill reservoir to only make 8 cups/strong. That will give you that stout cup of Joe. I love the steel carafe that keeps it drinkably warm without getting that burnt stale taste from sitting on burner plate all morning. TIP: To make your carafe keep warmer do as you do with all thermos/ carafes – the night before? Or a couple of hours before? Fill with your hottest tap water and close. It will – the thermal and your coffee will stay hot all day! Empty it out just before you make your coffee. If you are using the single k-cup style? Use the strong setting or the coffee will be weak. These are all the pros. The only con is the water filter in the reservoir… most of us already have water filters (either on our cold water from our refrigerators or from our taps) However..twice filtered water is not really that. bad now is it? All in all ? I LOVE this coffee maker and feel it makes great coffee and offers flexibility and is therefore a great buy.Had to come here and update my review – here I am a more 7 months from purchase and the coffee maker leaks water all over the counter and the carafe leaks and does not keep coffee warm. VERY DISAPPOINTING.CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND.UPDATE: Contacted Mr.Coffee ..corresponded with a very nice and concerned customer service rep named Rhegie , who listened to my grievances and made it right. So A + Customer service and I really loved this coffee brew system when it worked right have me changing my review back to 5 star.

Badly Engineered
While the space-saving design may seem practical at first glance the engineering of the product is very sub-standard making it much too expensive considering the cleanup required after every cup.1. Portions are never correct and either overfill or mostly underfill the cup (flow meter), which affects flavor, with no discernable difference between standard and strong mode.2. Overpressurizing the pod often blows coffee all over the machine or causes a failure in the brew cycle. Reseating the coffee basket often resolves the latter.3. Excessive leakage during and after the brew cycle sprays coffee all over the machine and adjacent surfaces. Post-brew cycle leakage often exceeds the capacity of the overfill reservoir.4. The carafe is inadequately insulated resulting in cold coffee in under 30 minutes.5. A static water reservoir means an additional container is required for filling.6. Due to coffee leakage the buttons located in the base of the coffee maker gum up regularly.

Love this coffee maker!
I read all the recent reviews and was a little hesitant to reorder the same model from Mr. Coffee but I did. I replaced the same model of coffee maker that I had purchased 6 years ago. I make coffee at least once a day so that is a lot of usage over the 6 years. It started to leak water and also stop in the middle of brewing saying to add water. I have had this one for almost a month and so far, absolutely no issue. It is a space saver on the counter, the slot for coffee is front loaded so I don’t have to pull it away from the cabinet to be able to lift the lid to load the coffee. Admittedly I do not use the single serve option. The carafe keeps the coffee very hot and it doesn’t have that burnt taste from when you have a glass pot on the hotplate. If this lasts as long as the last one did I’ll purchase it again!

Versatile and very stylish while saving space
Just got this coffee maker a few weeks ago, it arrived fast and as described, well packed. Seems well made. Love the size and look. It saves a ton of space! I brewed our first batch, it was perfect and very fast compared to other coffee makers Iâve had in the past. It was Super easy to operate and instructions were very clear and foolproof. I have used the âpodâ feature and it’s amazing, easy, and perfect for on-the-go, just be sure to push how many ounces you want though! If you don’t you’ll get a small amount that will not fill your cup! . I measured how many cups you can make since many people complained it was very little but you have to push the button that says how many cups or ounces (when using the pod feature) you want to brew, it starts at 4 up to 10 cups. I can see why some may think it brews fewer cups, the pot is not as big as the glass carafes, so it will have less depth and space. Itâs made that way since itâs a steel well-insulated pot to keep coffee warm. The coffee was super hot and it will remain hot for a long time in the pot, even though the plate is not heating. One negative thing I guess would be how slow it pours from the pot to my cup, a solution to that is removing the lid so it can flow faster to my cup when Iâm ready to serve it. But other than that I loved it so far. Nice to know Iâll never break a carafe again! Also love the feature to make one cup at a time! The pods are expensive so itâs nice to have both features when you canât afford the pods. And so sleek looking. I highly recommend it.

Does not work, at all. Right out of the box it says there’s no water when the water is full.Returned it and that was pretty difficult! I had to pay to return their junk!!!
