Good coffee maker at reasonable price
This coffee maker suits my needs. I am not a fussy coffee drinker. I buy whatever brand is on sale, and don’t understand the Starbuck’s needs of some. But I do like coffee in the morning, and had to replace a very old Mr Coffee. My only real requirements were a programmable timer, and one that got good reliability reviews. I looked at fancier, more expensive machines, but saw poor quality reviews at every price point. Seems every coffee maker has a mix of good and bad reviews, no matter how much they cost. I decided to not overspend, and went for this one. Have had no problem with it. It’s simple to use, and looks nice. I am happy with my purchase.Update: after 1 1/2 yrs of daily use, it has conked out. It was fine and then just didn’t work anymore. I didn’t expect it to last forever, but wish it had gone a little longer.

Works great and easy to use.
I purchased this coffee maker because it was very similar to the last one I had. It brews the coffee quickly and I really like the fact that it uses replaceable filters for the water. I highly recommend this coffee maker.

    Only lasted a year!
Ok so I never write reviews, but, I was so upset Saturday morning when I woke up to have some fabulous coffee, but the grounds in, poured in the water and turned it on to hear 5 beeps and nothing! My husband and I tried everything, unplugged, dumped the water, checked everything, called the # in the manual and couldn’t talk to anyone, it said to clean it (which I do regularly) so… we put in the white vinegar but still nothing, it wouldn’t even try to run it through so I’m not sure why they thought that would be a quick fix. Tried again like 10 more times, same thing, 5 beeps and nothing. Then I read like 4 other reviews that said the exact same thing. To top it off I seen a friend this morning going to the coffee shop because his coffee maker at the office had died, I asked a few questions, same coffee maker, same exact issue and he had it less than a year! Do not purchase this coffee maker, actually I’m leaving the Mr. Coffee brand all together after this, I’m not usually this cut throat but I hate to spend $ on something, thinking it will be a good long term purchase and then have to throw it in the trash a year later (after taking good care of it) Trying Cuisinart…we’ll see how long it lasts!

    Bean juice
Great coffee maker! It does beep when it’s done brewing & when the warmer is turning off. I did have a problem with the basket not sitting right one morning. It made the biggest mess ever and was very hard to clean all the coffee grounds out of the inside of the coffee maker. Also it brews the best on “strong brew” mode. No overflowing of the grounds. All in all I do like this coffee maker. It does the job. These are just a few small things that I don’t like about it.

    Tried and trusted!
This does exactly what is needed, without gimmicks (grind your beans for you) – has a useful timer function to set up the night before and come down to fresh coffee and a strong/normal option. Runs reliably and consistently.

    Great, inexpensive coffee maker
I bought this coffee maker based on other customer reviews, its price and for the features it had. I’ve only been using it for a week, but so far, so good. Pros: We have hard water (and a softener that sometimes makes tap water taste off) so that water filter has come in handy. Compared to other comparable coffee makers we’ve used, this one has the best taste. The water is easy to fill. I tend to be clumsy and rush, I haven’t had any spillage yet. There are a few cons though, and these are strictly personal preference. The clock and buttons are not backlit at all. The only things that light up are the indicator lights, telling me things like the delay brew is set and the strength selected. As indicated, the shut-off timer is two hours. My last coffee maker had a 4 hour timer and we’ve gotten spoiled on that.Overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase. Time will tell how durable this coffeemaker is.

    Looks good, intuitive operation/programming
Looks good, intuitive operation/programming, but it’s hard to get a rich cup of coffee. This coffee maker has a “strong” setting which slows the hot water flow to increase steep time. Here’s the thing, the water spout is just a single stream spout; because of this not all the coffee gets steeped. I use good, whole bean coffee and grind right before I brew, plus I use a large volume of coffee. Regardless, the coffee maker struggles to make rich coffee. It comes with a water fliter that helps to disperse the water evenly, but after a few uses it clogs a bit and water ends up leaking past the edge seam rather than flowing through the filter membrane , resulting in a, for lack of a better term, point loading of water on the grinds. This leads to weaker coffee because all the grinds are not steeped. I had a previous gen Mr Coffee maker model and the spout was a wide fan (like a shower head) and it made a better cup of coffee. Short and long, it’s ok…could be better if the hot water was dispersed over the grinds or flow out of the basket was slowed to increase steep time.
