High quality, great customer service
I hesitated on buying this bread box bc I was concerned the bamboo box would look cheap and plasticy. I generally prefer ceramic and there is a similar more expensive one, but the weight of that one seemed like it’d be a problem.So I took a chance and this box is exactly what I’d hoped. It’s heavy duty, but not too heavy. The matte finish is nice and doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. The lid/cutting board has a tight fit to keep bread fresh.My initial order came damaged and this company immediately sent a replacement, which I got quickly.I could not be happier and glad I chose this over the more expensive ceramic option.

Very well made, heavy, bread box, cover doubles as a cutting board, nice for self or as a gift
This is a sturdy, very well made, heavy, beautiful bread box (picture 1). It is really heavy. The beautiful wood cover doubles as a cutting board (picture 4). The ribbed bottom of the cover makes it easier to slice the bread, because of the better air flow (picture 5). This box is good not only to store bread: I stored a panettone, alfajores, and other snacks so the countertop looks neater (pictures 2, & 3). The bread linen bags (pictures 6, & 9) are well made too, the stitching is clean and neat (picture 8). The rope to tie up is sturdy (picture 7). Easy to clean, it needs to be wiped by hand, and the linen bags washed by hand too (as per instructions). Beautiful packaging, nice to buy for self or to give as a gift. Prompt delivery. Definitely recommend it.Pos review: I added the words Bread, Boulangerie, patisserie, and a design of breads on three sides, made in Cricut, it makes it look more customized. (pictures 10, 11, & 12).

Great size for two loafs of bread, rolls and bread or?
Iâve been meaning to go searching for a bread box since my husband and I like to make rustic bread together and, it usually goes stale before we finish it since we are only using whole grain, organic recipes and nothing with food preservatives.As soon as I saw this bread box from Abioto, I knew my search was over since it is made out of a grass plastic with a bamboo lid. It matches our Japandi interior of our home and, it is modern looking and not one of those bulky wooden ones. We also like to look for products that will last since we donât like to add to the landfills. This does hit every check mark with us and, although a large size box, the dimensions are such it fits in one of our smallest cupboards. I also appreciate it comes with two cotton bags to put our bread in to keep the crusts crunchy and the interior soft.The reason i marked down a star was because the bags came smelling of chemicals. The bags were inside the bread box when I opened the package and it smelled pretty strong when I opened the lid for the first time. Once I washed everything, the smell went away but it does make me wonder what that smell was.The other reason is I think they could have done a slightly better job of matching the gap of the lid all the way around. You donât really notice much but since I have had a career in design, I notice things like that. Lastly, as you will see on the third picture, the bread box has a black mark which is part of the box so I canât remove it. It was also a bit scratched when it arrived.I could have marked it down two stars for all of that but, if the box didnât have those issues, I likely would have given it an extra star since itâs one of the nicest bread boxes Iâve seen on the market as far as esthetics, size and what you get for the money. It feels solid and although the description said you can use the lid as a cutting board if you turn it over, I think the lid is too nice for that.

Need muscles
This thing is well made. It is huge!My biggest problem is it is difficult to open. Sometimes the lid comes right off but most of the time I have to ask my husband to open it for me. Not convenient if he isnât home. May be returning.

This thing is big and heavy
I’m not sure what I was expecting but I was very surprised at how large and heavy this bread box (ABIOTO Modern Bread Box for Kitchen Counter Top with 2 Bread Bags (White) – Sturdy Modern Construction, Ribbed Design Keeps Bread Fresh Longer – Large Sourdough Bread Box with Cutting Board Lid) is. I had such a hard time getting the lid off, that thing is suctioned down pretty well. I used all my might and some grippy liner material to get a hold of that knob handle to finally lift it off. Due to the design of being stackable, the knob to lift the lid is not very tall so it’s hard to get a good grip on it initially. Once I managed to finagle the lid off, it wasn’t a problem anymore with lifting the lid, it almost seem like it lost some suction or air tightness.This bread box is going to hold a good amount of bread. I’m excited to fill it up with baked goods over the holiday season. I have gotten this same brand’s proofing baskets to make sourdough bread and those are quality pieces. When I saw this bread box roll through my recommended, it was a no brainer to get it, this brand is good. This bread box is no different, it’s a quality functional piece and it looks nice on my table. It comes with 2 linen bags to hold more bread, most likely used for transporting bread or with bread that needs air flow to dry out as opposed to staying moist inside the box. I see the lid is designed as a cutting board but I’d rather not cut grooves into it, it looks too nice to be used as a cutting board. I’m glad I was able to get this item to try out, now it’s time to fill it up with some delicious bread!
