Makes great coffee, so simple to use!
Been using it daily for 9 months and very happy with it. My guests can figure out how to use it. I prefer it to my large keurig machine because it is easier to use, takes up a fraction of the counter space, can be put away easily, easier to clean, yet makes great coffee. I can adjust the amount of water for the brew infinitely rather than a preset button for strength. I discovered how to make coffee as good as any coffee shop using generic reusable K-cups https://a.co/d/cIXucVP combined with paper filters https://a.co/d/8z0Gd8s along with my own fresh ground coffee. Reusable K-cups overcome the problem with all pre-loaded K-cups in that they inherently have partially stale coffee in them because they are not vacuum sealed, which is why they never taste as good as coffee shop coffee. These 3 items overcome this problem and make great coffee, cleanup easy by just dumping a tiny paper filter (no digging coffee out of the K-cup) and you are not adding plastic to the landfill. It also makes cost per cup about $0.15, or about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of pre-loaded K-cups. Win-win!

Small Footprint + Great Value = Buy It
I am happy with my purchase, but let me address other reviews that almost made me not buy this k-cup brewer:1) “Hard to fill up.” This has nothing to do with this k-cup brewer. Try using your coffee mug as a precision water pouring device and you will be sorely disappointed. YES, water DOES go everywhere if you try and aim water out of a coffee mug. The reason is there is not a pouring lip on a coffee mug. Duh. Solution: we keep a Pyrex measuring cup next to the coffee mugs and PROBLEM SOLVED. Fills with water quickly and easily, with no spills.2) Next, I feel like a lot of reviewers were disappointed with the amount of the coffee output. Ten ounces, the amount it brews, is slightly less than a soda can (12 ounces). Pour that amount of liquid in your coffee cup before you order your machine and see if that’ll be enough coffee for you. I included a photo of a full brew in my mug so you can see. It was fine for us, but I can imagine many Starbucks grande and venti drinkers that would be disappointed. FYI–a Starbucks ‘tall’ (SMALL) is 12 OUNCES.3) Bad taste. YES, ours smelled/tasted metallic straight out of the box. After reading all the reviews, when I received my brewer I ran 6 cycles of water through and then brewed the first k-cup. The coffee was bitter and undrinkable. I then read the instructions for “descaling” in the booklet. (Fill with white vinegar and hit start so that it starts brewing, but without a k-cup. When it starts to brew shut OFF the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, hit start again so the vinegar is pumped out of the machine. THEN run water through (still no k-cup) for 6-10 times. I did it until I didn’t smell any vinegar). Worked like a charm. Coffee tastes great. If this helped you, please click the “Helpful” button. Thanks! 🙂

Not a great brewer
So, there are three PROs for this brewer:1) It makes your coffee FAST.2) It’s relatively easy to clean.3) It’s very easy to use.Now for the CONs:1) Coffee isn’t the hottest – after 10 minutes in a well-insulated mug it’s already cooled down significantly. I drink my coffee over a 30-minute period, and I usually have to heat it up twice.2) Coffee doesn’t taste good. It’s weak, and there are usually some grounds at the bottom of my cup. I think it brews it TOO fast, so the grounds aren’t given enough time to steep. I’m using the same batch of K-cups from my last brewer (that died), so it’s not the cups themselves.3) Product is cheaply made. The plastic on this brewer is definitely of a much inferior quality to my last brewer (Sboly single-cup brewer, about $15 more than this one). It’s thinner, and just doesn’t feel like a quality product. It weighs *nothing*, like I can dangle it off of my index finger easier than one of my coffee mugs.4) Not much room for a good-sized mug. I can’t use any of my larger mugs in this – the largest that fits is a 12-oz. The platform the mug sits on is really high and the cup vessel is really low, so you’ve got only 5″ for your mug. I usually brew 11 oz. and add creamer, so this is an issue. I brew it in my 12-oz mug, then have to pour it in another to add creamer so it doesn’t overflow the mug when I tip it to drink.5) They give you a rubber drip tray that sits on top of the platform but it’s useless. It’s pretty thick for starters, so I can’t use it with the mug (because the mug won’t fit) and it hardly holds any spill over (my last brewer held up to 6 oz) because it’s pretty much solid with a few grooves.6) It sounds like it’s going to take off from my kitchen counter. It’s pretty…forceful. And I think that’s part of the reason I’m getting grounds in my coffee: it’s trying to blast through so quickly to get you the coffee fast that it’s just not brewing correctly and taking grounds along for the ride.Overall, I’m sorry I bought it as it was a waste of my money. It works, but not well. I’ve got coffee, but I don’t enjoy drinking it. While it fits on my limited counter space, it doesn’t fit most of my mugs. 🙁

GREAT COFFEE MAKER…(But there’s some things you should know…)
I’ve been using this coffee maker at my workplace for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it!It’s relatively easy to use once you get used to it. (There’s only one button.)You should be aware that this is a very tiny coffee maker and the water reservoir is only going to hold roughly 10oz at a time. Some people complain that it’s difficult to pour the water in, but I’ve been using bottled water and it works just fine. Once everything is in and ready to go, you just push the button and in about 2 minutes, you’ll have your coffee. One neat thing it does is it automatically turns off after each brew. One last thing you should be aware of is that anything other than a regular sized mug might not fit. My coffee mug at work must be tilted back at an angle when placing it under the drip so it will fit. If you use above average sized mugs, you’ll likely want to get another coffee maker…BUT at $40, it’s very enjoyable!

Iâve only brewed a couple of cups but this is much smaller than the smallest Keurig & performs well for its price point. Fits in a small space in my RV ð

We do a lot of off road adventures and camping. This little coffee maker is always a hit. It take a bit to warm up but the coffee is always hot. Packs up small and easy to use.

I was tired of my Keurig Elite taking up huge swaths of counter space in the kitchen when it only got used two or three times a day. Enter a month-long search for a smaller model. This one was very small and came with decent reviews. After almost a month of using it, I’m pretty happy with it. I took it through the manual’s recommended washing before first use and haven’t gotten any kind of ‘plastic’ taste from it. It uses the reusable k-cup filters well, and is simple to use. The coffee or tea comes out hot enough for me and tastes as good as any other coffee machine. The downsides: you have to fill the resevoir every time you want a cup, and it uses all the water in it to make that cup. I keep a dedicated measuring cup next to it just for that purpose and it works well – coffee mugs aren’t great at pouring neatly. It also takes around two minutes to heat up the water, so it’s best to start it before you need the coffee. Other than that, I’m happy with it – it definitely takes up less counter space and I still get my coffee without much trouble.

This is a great alternative to the main brand single cup coffee maker. It is sturdy, well designed and makes a great cup of coffee. It is more compact than most machines, therefore, takes up less room on your counter. Still does the job though. Actually, it’s easier than my last machine. One less button to push. Just as fast to brew. The true test will be its longevity. My last main brand machine lasted 2 1/2 years of heavy use (4-5 cups a day). With proper cleaning, I have a feeling this one will equal if not surpass that mark. Oh, should mention too…..it costs half the price!!

I used to own a mini Keurig machine and it just broke after 2 years of use. Didn’t like it. So are I like the simplicity of the Mixpresso machine. Plus, you can dump the water out, unlike the mini Keurig machine.Mixpresso makes a great, hot cup of coffee! Small, compact, light and easy to use.
