I bought this for several reasons.1. It takes the standard nespresso pods, which are becoming harder to find than the virtuo pods.2. One of the buyer ratings claimed that its a better machine than the standard Nespresso machine. And I concur, it does seem to be better made.3. Quick delivery & reasonable price.Very happy with my purchase.

I opened the well packed – but STYROFOAM?? – box, took it out and thought, “cute .. ooo ugh what an awful smell”. I should have just put it back in the box and sent it back right then.I let it air out with baking soda soaking in the tank, overnight, and that mostly cured the smell issue.Filled it up, planning to run a whole tank full of water through just to make sure it was clean inside … moved it a few cms on the counter, inadvertently tipping it a couple mms off level … water ALL OVER my counter from the tank.After cleaning that up and running a fresh tank full of water through, I set out to make some espresso. I used a known-to-me good brand of pods. They were very difficult to get punctured and I had to work the lever up and down a few times for each pod.There was a lot of unbrewed water dripping down from the pod compartment into the rear drip tray, which seems to be a common “function” of all of these machines?, but annoyingly messy.Also, each of three of the *same* pods produced wildly varying amounts of coffee and at least one of the pods was barely pressed in on the foil.All-in-all, my worst espresso pod machine experience yet. This one’s going back as soon as I figure it’s dried out inside.

Makes Good Espresso
This is the second Mixpresso Iâve purchased. I bought the first one (red) and liked it so much I bought a second Mixpresso (black) for our lake homeBoth machines came very well packaged. Definitely not frustration-free packing bit it certainly did the job. The set up was quick and easy for the first machine. No issues whatsoever, even for a novice. The one I bought for our lake house was a bit of an issue. Itâs an old lake cabin and has only two prong outlets. So it required a three prong adapter (we have proper grounding) and we plan on upgrading to a proper three prong outlet soon. That glitch isnât Mixpressoâs fault but be advised, it does require a three prong outlet.I havenât had any issues with the machine properly accepting a variety of Nespresso capsules . They all have loaded properly first try and delivered good espresso. I would say that the black model seems to drip, drip, drip longer than the red. Iâm patient. The black model seems a bit quieter than the red but that could be a matter of different kitchen acoustics. All in all, itâs no louder than other machines Iâve heard. Itâs easy to clean. The water canister is a bit fiddly to fill and set but I solved that annoyance by bringing the water to the canister. Much easier.Although I canât speak to longevity, no issues thus far and I consider it a good bargain.

Best thing Iâve bought
Iâve had it for 7 months and I have no need to return it. It works perfectly well. It has saved me so much money from going to Starbucks and itâs simple and easy to use.

I’m using Mixpresso with standard Nespresso capsules but also tried Capmesso reusables
6 month update:Works perfectly with regular 1st gen Nespresso Capsules or Cafe Romano Capsules.I get them for 40 cents each or less from eBay.I measured the large cup setting and Mixpresso dispenses a little over 2 ozs of coffee in 50 seconds. yes it’s pump is loud.Two ounces isn’t much of a drink and that’s the full cup selection.this machine is changed. the way I prepare coffee I no longer grind and pack it and clean up. not just use a capsule.I’ve have had 100+ cups and it’s still running good.

Updated:Went from 5 stars to 1, bought it July 1, 2021 worked great till today, February 19, 2022. After brewing a double shot it quit working. Wonât turn on. I unplugged it and let it sit for a bit then plugged back in, it came back on and I was able to use it again. But the next day after pulling another double shot it shut off again. Fuse is not being blown so we know itâs the machine. Only 7 months old. Very disappointed. I cleaned it every month and we only use Berkey water. Didnât matter. Itâs dead. I contacted customer service since itâs still within the 1 yr manufacturer warranty. Hoping they will help and make it right.Original review:Took a chance on this Nespresso knock-off. Read the reviews and decided to roll the dice, didnât want to pay over $100 for the brand name. We did not get one that was used like some people did. It works great! No issues so far, we only had it for a week so if for some reason we start having issues I will come back and update my review. We use the Starbucks Blonde Espresso Nespresso pods and this machine makes great espresso with nice crema on top. It is loud but so are all espresso machines, even the professional ones. I folded up a dish towel and placed the machine on top to help minimize the vibration sound. It helps.Only thing Iâm wondering about is if the plastic is BPA free, still waiting to hear back from the company. Thereâs no mention of it in the manual, here on Amazon or their website.ð¤ Most things are BPA free today but just want to make sure.

Dead after two months use. But found the problem!
This was great until it wasnât. Buyer beware. Machine died after two months. Bought 9/20 dead 11/20.Tried all the trouble shooting from web site. Nothing BUT. I looked and saw that plug ( a pig tail, it is not hard wired) connecting into machine was loose! Jammed it in with a little uumph. And voila it is working !This step was not in the trouble shooting instructions and it should be. It was a simple issue. Easy to fix.So now we have our coffee back!
