I make vanilla extract and with my leftover beans I reseal them until Iâm ready to use.

Works as advertised
Got this to seal cookies in treat bags from Hobby Lobby. You can see it works well. You need to be aware of the temperature of the unit as it gets too hot for these bags. If you keep turning the unit on and off you can get a lot of bags done quickly. Only reason I down graded the review is it would be great if it had a thermostat to set the temp. For the price a great deal.

Works on certain bags, not on dog food bags which is why I bought it
I purchased this to seal my dog food bag after opening it to take out just enough to keep fresh in my Vittles Vault container. Unfortunately this was 100% not effective on the purina food bag. I did test it on snack wrappers and chip bags and it works fine. It is easy to use, gets hot enough in under a minute, but I’m very disappointed it won’t work for the main purpose I bought it for. It creates a nice seal on the bags it works on, it is easy to burn yourself though, it gets very hot obviously and the heating element surface is very close to the edge. It doesn’t sit well because of the cord but it didn’t burn my counter or shelf laying on it’s side heated. It takes a while to cool down. The case is flimsy but nice to have. This is not like the euro-sealer or similar devices, it doesn’t slide across to seal, it’s more like a hair curling iron/crimper. If your bag is thick or has crinkles/folds, you have to hold it a long time (to the point where you can see/smell the plastic burning). Odor isn’t pleasant but seals are strong. For large bags I use it on both ends, then at a slightly downward angle for everything in the middle. I really liked the original eurosealer from like 20 years ago, but this will have to do for now.

Perfect form me given the low price!
So I bought this item to seal t-sac tea bags. I buy loose tea leaves in bulk and prepare a fresh tea bag whenever I’m wanting a cup of tea, so this sealer works perfectly on this individual basis for me. The plastic shell gets very hot at the end where the heating element is installed, but the handle end stays cool enough so it’s not a problem, but beware when picking up device and don’t grab the wrong end! Also if you intend to seal bags any wider than 2.5 inches the job will require multiple presses. The unit comes in a transparent plastic case with clasps and can be used to store the unit and cord. Unfortunately my case arrived cracked and with dried sticker glue all over the top so I trashed it. However it’s so easy to wrap the cord around the unit and tuck it away in a kitchen drawer that I don’t miss the case.

Doesnât work
Did not work for me at allâ¦I let it heat up, it got warm but would not seal a chip bag, a pretzel bag, a cookie bag, bag of frozen peasâ¦not even a little bit of a seal! Iâve had a few other versions of this type of thing and they will not seal all the way so you need to do it a few times to get a full seal. This one I got because it plugs in and I thought that would be better than the battery or USB ones I have. I was very wrong.

Works great and performs exactly how I expected. Easy to use and heats up quick. It’s compact size makes it easy to store. A recommended product for small businesses when needing to seal your goodies at the same time keeping them fresh. I’ve also used it to seal chip bags to keep them from going stale versus a using a clip. Creates a secure seal for whatever needs to be kept fresh or from spilling out of its regular package.
