DL/DR: compact bag sealer that works. If I could give half points, it would have received a solid 4.5. Read more to find out why.I received this mini sealer and these were my initial observations and comments:Size – for good or for bad, this is a small, compact heat sealer. Therefore, it may not be suitable for large bags or sealing a bag that needs to be sealed halfway down the bag.Power – i love rechargeable tools that save me from going through my batteries. I also appreciate that this device uses USB-C and not some other type of older connections. The supplied cable is a very short USB-B to USB-C. I would have preferred USB-C to USB-C, but I canât fault the company for providing this cable as it is probably what most people still use.Instructions – it comes with some instructions. They are just OK, but good enough to be able to figure it out on your own, especially after trying it yourself. The text is very small, however, so you may need a magnifying glass or perfect vision to properly read it. The main take away is that there are three modes each indicated by the number of lights:* 1 blue light – clear plastic bags* 2 blue lights – chip bags or medium thickness* 3 blue lights – pet food bags or thick bagsOnce you power the device on, set it to its needed mode (bag thickness), turn the inside switch to on, place bag in between top and bottom piece and then press. The red light should turn on. When it is done, the blue light(s) will shine. Would be nice if the 3 modes were printed somewhere on the device, but that is a minor complaint. It also would have been nice if the heat seal was able to just slide the bag through to seal it instead of pressing and holding.Speed – takes at least a minute to seal. This could be faster. Depending on the bag thickness and setting chosen The bags I tested took between 1 and 2 minutes. That feels like a long time to me to be pressing and holding.Effectiveness – The sealer does what it says. It seals the bags I tried/tested. All were air tight. All sealed on first attempts. I think this will save me chip clips.Others Item(s)There is a magnet on the bottom of the device. Seems to work but isnât super strong as far as I could tell. My fridge is stainless steel so the magnet doesnât stick. The device slide down other metals surfaces if it was vertical. Probably strange to have it stuck to an appliance anyhow, so not a deal-breaker for me.You canât stick a bag through the device to seal anywhere but near the top. Not sure that matters to people, but something to know.You can smell the bag material melting. Not sure it is a good thing or even good for you, but there is a faint smell being produced.Sometimes the heat sealer melted through the bag above the seal. Donât think this mattered and it may be operator error (pressing too hard, wrong setting, etc).I knocked a half star off because of the time it takes to seal and the small area that can be sealed. I was hoping it would be faster and that I could slide the opening through the device rather than pressing and holding. That said, it doesnât everything it claims to do and seems to do a good job at a good value for being around $20.

Works well – Watch Video
This seems to be a handy small hand sealer. I like the USB C recharge capability. I am currently using it to reseal small parts bags in the garage. Takes a bit of practice to select the right heat level to avoid overmelting the plastic. Watch the video to get started. Tried sticking it to the refrigerator but the holding magnet was too weak and it kept sliding down.

I had my doubts about this hand held sealer but by golly it actually worked.
I was doing a charity event and wanted to try to make donations look nice by placing them in baskets, etc and using shrink wrap. I know when i get to the event is when most of the donations are given to me by participants. So instead of dragging my large sealer with me – i bought this. I did not have high hopes but omg it worked. Takes a bit to get used to, but for the smaller jobs now too – I use this. I make bath bombs etc and it’s a good size to use to seal those bags before shrinking them around the bath bomb. Performed higher than totally expected! Sealed some of the extra soaps I brought with me to sell also. See picture.

Not good product
The quality is not there. The heat resistant is not that great. For the money the seal quality is not good. It came with no instructions as to how to work this sealer.

Great food and snack saver
This is a great little food sealer gadget. I had heard about these sealers and thought I would try one out. It is simple to use, and has 3 different setting for the thicknesses of packaging to be sealed. It is also a well thought for the price and size. It has a magnet to keep it shut when not being used and a little blade that pops out to reopen bag when the time come. As you can see in the picture it makes a nice little crimp seal where you fold over the top of package. And it only takes a few seconds to heat up and seal. I am thinking about getting a second one for work to keep my snack fresh as well.
