As expected
I do find that this metal cup rinses off clean easily. I use this mainly to hold cold milk, and froth with my espresso makerâs steam wand extension. This cup has a handle which allows the user to hold it without touching the sides of the cup, which can become hot during the steaming process. I find the capacity of the cup to be adequate. It is a good size for the length of my steaming wand; It allows me to submerge the wand in 150ml milk (the inside has measurements marked) which will froth up to twice the volume without spilling out of the cup. This is a great feature. I have been able to improve my milk steaming technique with this equipment. Hold the upper corner of the handle to keep fingers away from the hot edge of the cup. Holding the steam wand in the milk against the side of the cup while angling the cup can create a good âwhirlpoolâ effect, which helps break down large bubbles into the desired âmicrofoamâ. The pour spout works well, I have been using it to practice cappucino art. The accessory metal wand is useful in nudging milk foam and espresso on the top of a cappucino or latte to create imagery, if the image created by the milk pour is not satisfactory. You can hold it like a pencil and âdrawâ by dragging it on the foam. Iâve also been using the metal wand to help evenly disperse espresso grounds in my metal screen/funnel. It is definitely a multi-purpose tool.I have not tried using this mug for any other purpose, and I have not tried putting it though the dishwasher (though I imagine it would be fine). If you are looking for a good jug to froth milk for personal use, this should work well for you. Just make sure you select the capacity / size that you are looking for, as it is easy to misjudge sizes while shopping online.

Bigger is better
I bought the 32oz size to replace the 20oz container because when I milk froth for my coffee in the morning it would overflow with the 20oz. Go big.

Everything I was looking for
This pitcher has a beautiful stainless steel finish and is well made. It comes with an art wand, which can double as a scoop to get the expended coffee out of the shot filter and for prying the shot filter out of the portafilter after brewing. Perfect size (12 oz) for frothing a single cup or perhaps two cups worth of milk. Just as nice as those costing $ more. As a newbie, I thought I could get by frothing with a coffee cup but found this pitcher with its shape is essential equipment-it lends itself to keeping the milk in the pitcher vs flying out as it goes into a spin while frothing. Money well spent for creating the perfect latte!
