Easiest control panel ever.
Letâs face it. I bought this for fun and it didnât disappoint. That little âcampfireâ heating the water (a led light) is genius and looks spectacular in a dimly lit room first thing in the morning. It looks great on a countertop. Setting the time and setting the machine up for morning coffee is the easiest Iâve ever done. Normally, Iâm the person with wonky time on the machine because I canât be bothered getting the manual out. Now to hope that the machine lasts a long time.

The coffee is superb!
After being a Cuisinart loyalist but having to replace their coffee makers about every year, I decided it was time to move on and try something different. What I love about this coffee maker is that it makes a great cup of coffee at the perfect temperature, it brews it fast, was well priced and cleans very easily. What I donât love about it is that the heating plate has a 2 hour max and no sound indicator that it has shut off so you could at least turn it back on. ( you get busy because life happens) By the time I realize the pot has shut off the coffee has already begun to cool. I had to purchase an insulated carafe to pour the coffee into after brewing, so problem solved there. Otherwise, I am very happy with this coffee maker and would buy it again.

Defective product
The machine made very good coffee but the warming tray did not work. The indicator light said the warmer was working, but it didn’t. I called Melitta’s service desk and left a message two days ago but did not get a return call.

Love this coffeemaker
Enjoying this coffeemaker! The coffee seems to have a higher quality/less bitter. It brews quickly. Very functional, it is fairly large item just to be aware that it is a larger size than other coffeemakers. The design is very pretty!

Futuristic looking, easy to use.
This is a really cool looking coffee maker. Very futuristic, especially with the red light while brewing. It’s a little bit larger than my ninja coffee bar. Slightly taller and slightly wider. I ordered this to replace the Ninja because the Ninja keeps giving me the five beeps of death and will not brew or clean anymore. This one is a totally different setup and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but makes a solid cup of coffee. The water goes in the back compartment, filter and coffee grounds in the front. Very simple instructions, easy to understand, presented well. The options are bold or normal brew coffee, timed coffee making, keep warm, and makes up to 12 cups. The fact that the coffee carafe and be accessed within a 180° range is a great and helpful feature. It does not specifically say it will brew a single cup, but since I drink a 20 oz mug of coffee every morning and not a tiny cup, that is not an issue. It handled the 20 oz perfectly fine.I am really pleased with this coffee maker, I recommend it.EDIT: After using this for a couple weeks, I’ve got a couple more observations. Unless I’m missing something, you have to add water each time for the exact amount of coffee you want – I see no setting for serving size options. I generally put the amount of water I want in the mug that I want to use and pour it into the water compartment. Would be nice to fill the water and just hit a size button. Also, there is a lot of condensation at the top of the grounds compartment, but i just tap the lid before I open it and that takes off most of the condensation.I removed a star because of the inability to choose brew size.

This Melitta Vision is a Five Star Coffee Maker.
This is a great coffee maker. It heats the water really hot ( the key to a great brew) and puts on a show while doing it! The design is modern and sleek, plus the lip on the pot is perfect for pouring with no dribbling. Makes a delicious cup of coffee!

Wanted to love this!
I have used this for a couple of months now and have really had time to decide how I feel about this coffee maker.I have had quite a few high end makers, as well as the ever so versatile, but not terribly reliable beloved ninja I am weary of replacing. My husband and I drink very different coffee. Him, two big tumblers medium roast regular. Me, two mugs, bold, dark roast decaf or cappuccinos/lattes. The ninja is so fabulous for our household, but they truly are unreliable.Hence the Melitta. The Melitta makes a very reliable good pot of coffee. It doesnât burn it while on the burner. And the shutoff time is reasonableLove the look of it when first opened. It is a basic coffee pot. On/off/timer. Bold/regular. 4-12 cup size brew. The swivel plate is a cool gimmeck, but for $239 there are a ton of other functional features I would rather have had.I donât like that the part of the basket lid where the water drips out is constantly covered with grinds which clog the openings. And we have only made 4 cup pots so I canât imagine what a mess it will be if we make full pots. The thing I dislike the most is the enclosed water reservoir. This is poorly thought out (and I will bet was designed by a wonderfully artsy person who doesnât have a lot of logistics/engineering experience. It only looks good when you open the box. From the moment you pour water in the reservoir you will have an unattractive glass reservoir with permanent condensate and sweat build upâ¦totally destroying the entire aesthetic being marketed ($230 isnât the price for a basic coffee maker). Worse than the disappointing aesthetics is the bacterial risk of having water locked into a sealed system in perpetuity. Even if you take the lid off after brewing, the reservoir never dries, not even after sitting unused for two weeks when we travelled. I normally clean my pots with vinegar once a month. With this pot I donât know if that is frequent enough to stay off bacteria, mold, etcI just bought a new ninja, which makes me sad financially, and environmentally. My search for better than ninja continuesMelitta, redesign the reservoir!

Works Well,

Was hoping it would be great but it was a disappointment. It does make a pretty good cup of coffee but there are some issues to make it a great coffee maker. The most annoying part it that you pull out the carafe coffee always spills onto the warmer, super annoying since you have to wipe up the spilt coffee or put a napkin down to catch it. The fancy display to much for what is suppose to be a simple coffee maker. Wish I gave up on hoping to love it before my rerun window passed by.
