Good filters
For years I have been buying Cosco Coffee filters (Connaisseur # 4 Cone White, 400 counts. They were perfect for pour-over coffee, compostable, and an incredible bargain, 400 filters for around 5 dollars. I was very disappointed that the last time I shopped there, I was told that they had stopped carrying this item. I saw that Amazon carries Connaisseur filters, although at a higher price than Cosco. I decided to try these Melitta filters as they are only a penny higher than Connaisseur’s price on Amazon.Side note: These coffee filters also work great in a composter. Melitta filters seem a cut above, 3-fer is a good deal
We have forsaken our old coffee maker in favor of drip/pour through for several years now. We make a full large thermal carafe of coffee using the a #4 cone and our trusty old Melitta dripper. It’s enough for my husband to fill his thermos and have a cup or two before leaving for work, or for both of us to have 2-3 cups each over the course of a leisure Sat. Our opinion is the flavor of cone-drip is far superior to drip coffee makers. In our years of being cone-drip enthusiasts, we have noticed some differences between the different paper cones I have purchased and tried, (3 different brands, all that I’ve found available in the larger #4 size). Most notably, Melitta drains faster than both the other brands which is great for us as often we are on a mission in the morning and the faster pour is really nice. Also keeps us from over-filling and spills resulting from hasty pouring before the cone drains sufficiently. 🙂 I wondered about the slower drain being better in terms of a longer steep but the coffee tastes wonderful through these so as far as I’m concerned it’s not a thing. I can’t say I’ve had complaints about any of the brands, flavor seems pretty consistent between them, but overall the Melitta filters seem a cut above in quality. Our neighborhood store where we shop is sometimes out of them when we need plus they have gone up in price over the last couple years, tending to be more expensive in general, which was why I decided to shop around. I was pleased to find a decent deal here on the 3-box deal (the best price I could find on the net).

UPDATE: Ready to Order once again
Have used probably close to 1000 of these since first finding them many years ago. I have NEVER HAD EVEN ONE blow out or found any to be defective or cause a bad flavor/taste. They even remain firm when removing them for discarding after the brewing cycle is complete. Great product I recommend without reservation.1 YEAR LATER UPDATE: Well here I am ordering my FOURTH order of these 3 packs of filters. During this past year, using these filters exclusively, I have yet to have the first blowout, bad taste, or manufacturing error. EVERY SINGLE FILTER I have used over the past year, which would number in the hundreds, has performed as expected. I highly recommend these filter for their strength, no odd taste, and excellent performance.1 YEAR LATER UPDATE: 10/10/2021:Another year has gone by and several hundred filters have, each individually delivered tasty, delicious, well filtered coffee. NOTHING to report. No failures or weird tastes. 5 STARS again.

Muy prácticos. El paquete contiene 3 cajas, cada una con 100 filtros, estos parecen ser biodegradables por el material. Estoy muy contento con el café, muy rico y el filtro no le quita sabor.
