These will work!
I have a coffee maker that can make single cups with gound coffee. The adapter for this has a mesh screen at the bottom, but that allows grounds to go into the cup. Also it’s a pain to wash out. These little #1 Melitta filters make the coffee better and easier to make. Just dump the grounds filter and all into the compost when it’s done. Very neat!

Pricey but it works perfectly in my vintage single cup coffee maker
I have an adorable little vintage 10 oz cup drip coffee maker that I’ve wanted to use at my desk as the size is perfect and it only draws 500 watts. The coffee machine makes a surprisingly great cup of very hot coffee but the achilles heel of this little gadget is the permanent cone shaped filter it came with always overflowed making quite a mess to clean up after every cup. I didn’t even know they made paper filters small enough to fit it!I purchased a #2 pack of filters a couple years back as it was the smallest filter I could find at the grocery store but it was two large and I simply just gave up and parked the little coffee machine. The extensive cleanup after every cup just wasn’t worth the effort. After researching I found the #1 melitta size on amazon. Problem solved! my machine now makes a perfect cup of coffee mess free without coffee grinds floating around in it and sediment at the bottom of my mug. Thank you melitta! I pray they never discontinue these.

These work great.
The Melitta #1 filters work excellent in my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew. I like coffee strong and these filters allow for a finer grind.

An old stand-by with consistent quality
Melitta natural brown cone coffee filters have been my go-to filters for years. I am very gratified that the product maintains its customary quality. Single filters are easy to remove from the handy packaging, and the substantial paper material has never torn or given way to moisture during the coffee-making process. I have never understood why some manufacturers use bleached paper for an item that immediately turns brown when it is soaked with coffee. The environmentally friendly unbleached Melitta filters make a lot of sense in many ways, and I have no reservations about highly recommending them.

Bought for my Hamilton Beach Flex Brew
These filters fit pretty good and I used for first time this morning. Had no spill over or clogging but I was careful when closing the lid on the removable ground coffee brew basket. The grounds stayed in the filter and the filter came out easily into the trash can after brewing, however, the lid of the removable brew basket is so tight fitting and goes down onto the grounds so of course there were grounds around the inside rim. I used regular brew strength but tomorrow I plan to use the strong feature (even knowing it will take longer) as today I did not feel I got the full coffee flavor from my regular grounds. Will use a couple more times to test both the flavor that is produced from using a filter versus dealing with the mess of grounds in an un-filtered brew cup and also testing the durability and fit with high hopes there will be no incidences of spillage before deciding to keep or return. Overall, after 1 use/test, I think I will like these filters. Wish Hamilton Beach had a paper filter designed specifically for their Flex Brewâs single serve side of the unit, however, they do suggest using a #1 paper cone.

Cost effective and environmentally friendly
I’ve been using these filters for 30 years in my single cup coffee makers. I find Melitta paper filters do not add a paper taste to coffee. They also eliminate grounds making my coffee gritty, which I appreciate. I ran a study a while back and found that not only were Melitta filters less expensive than Keurig cups but I had a good deal greater coffees to choose from. I am a big fan of Fair Trade Coffee that send more revenue to coffee growers . Keurig does not support this. I have found it almost impossible to buy these filters at brick and mortar stores and was ordering them direct. Lately I found them available on Amazon at a reasonable cost. I am happy.

Did you know you are supposed to fold these ??
I just thought it was “one size fits all” and not very well, but if you read the instructions ( who does that?) – you are actually supposed to fold up the crimped edges. It makes it lie flat. and it fits perfectly.I am so glad I finally noticed. I was waiting for my morning coffee and happened to read the instructions. ( I thought there weren’t any required for a coffee filter – you know? put it in the coffee maker…duh)Well duh to me.Who knew ? try it
