Our founder, Melitta Bentz, invented coffee filters and pour-over brewing in 1908. For over 100 years, Melitta has remained a pioneer in coffee, coffee filters and coffee brewers. Our paper filters are 100% biodegradable. We offer filters for cone, flat bottom basket, percolators and Keurig single serve coffee brewers. Our filters are produced using chlorine-free white, natural brown and bamboo paper. In addition to filters, we offer a wide range of coffees and brewers including pour- overs, carafes, pour-over kits, coffee makers, kettles, drip coffeemakers, and even our own premium, batch-roasted coffee. Our coffee beans are sourced from farms located in prime coffee-producing regions. We batch roast and grind our beans extra fine in true European fashion – bringing out the coffee’s full flavor. Enjoy our entire range of ground coffees, whole bean coffees, and single serve coffee pods.

    Great product
I like these filters because they’re made from a highly renewable material, bamboo. They’re a little thicker paper than the regular Melitta filters, but that’s not a problem for performance. They impart no detectable flavor and compost readily.

Very durable, worth the 3 cents or so over a the regular filters
The Melitta #4 coffee filters I bought before thsese for some reason started ripping open at the bottom of my Clever Dripper pour over coffee maker, giving me a mug full of sludge. These coffee filters are much stiffer and sturdier, and I haven’t had a single one rip open. I think the quality has gone down on the standard Melitta #4’s. These are about 3 cents more expensive per filter, but it’s worth it not having to redo my coffee in the morning when I’m groggy. Too bad the standard Melitta quality went down.

    Bamboo rules.
Bamboo coffee filters are environmentally sound and hold up so much better than flimsy paper filters.

    Best cone coffee filters
I love these coffee filters, they have these micro perforations throughout the filter that just amplifies the flavor. These are made using bamboo which is more sustainable and they aren’t bleached white. A simple fold of the double enforced bottom and side seem makes for a perfect fit.

    Excellent Quality Filters
Pro: These Melitta filters are excellent, high quality coffee filters. For reasons unknown most stores in my area stopped selling/stocking Melitta filters in lieu of lower quality brand which boasted being environment friendly but would on regular occassion break during brewing leaving grounds in the basket and some in the coffee pot. In all my years of using Melitta filters I have never had that happen.Con: The only down side of ordering these online is that the packing was a plastic envelope which is ok against moisture and other elements but not against the crushing/handling of shipping so all the boxes were severely broken but the filters were still in good useable condition. A plastic envelope/bag inside a box would have given this a five star review.

We are using these filters in a WOLF drip coffee maker. We have been using these for a long time. Excellent results, and reliable. The filter does not rip, or degrade from the hot water flowing through the beans and the filter. This filter does not change the taste of the coffee. The filtering quality has been excellent. We had excellent results with this filter.

The Melitta Bamboo coffee filters do a great job of filtering any coffee grounds and do not add any taste to your coffee. Consistently great quality.
