EASY TO USE
This is an easy to use filter for Melitta style filter baskets. The paper is unbleached … so no bad aftertaste in your coffee. It doesn’t leave any “papery” aftertaste either. Is thick enough to filter and not tear. Great quality and well worth the money. If making coffee for a few folks … pair this with a ceramic Melitta style filter basket for a single cup brew that is very convenient and easy to clean up.

Good Consistent Quality – Helps me make great coffee
Good quality and consistent thickness and strength. I use these daily and they always produce consistent great flavored coffee. I grind my coffee from whole beans every day then use the drip filters. With these I never have to worry about dust , or other issues and they do not add any unwanted elements to the coffee. Also on Amazon they are relatively affordable. (Not as cheap as the store brand, but Better Quality). I would recommend them!

Excellent Coffee Filter when instructions are followed
I bought these Melitta #2 Filters for my 4-5 cup Melitta coffee maker and so far, I’ve used them for 10 pots of coffee, and they work fine, no breakage, grounds or sediment in my coffee cup at all. The instructions say to fold the side and the bottom just above the seam. I’ve read other reviews where people have had breakage. I don’t know if they are folding the filters at the bottom, so I tried this morning and only folded the side but not the bottom. I did get some sediment with a couple of small grounds, so I think that is the problem others have been having in that they are not folding the bottom of the filter. It’s easy to miss that in the pictured instructions on the side of the box. Fold just above the seam on the side and the bottom and it makes a perfect pot of coffee.

These are great filters. The only thing I docked a star for is they are sometimes a little bit difficult to open. I wish there was a tab like on some other filters. This is not usually a big deal though.

Bought the Amazon offering and they are not up to the task, no bottom fold and flow rate too slow causing backups in brewing process. An not be used as 2 cup,worked well enough for one though.The Melitta filters are the absolute right ones. Fold and nest properly, excellent designed flow rate and hold up.

We’ve tried a number of brands of filter papers. I’m not sure whether it’s the material of the paper, but they seem to let the water percolate through the coffee more effectively and a bit slower. The result is better coffee. I’d always buy this brand when available.
