How to make matcha?
Step 1
Bring 100 mg (about 1/3 cup) filtered or spring water to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 2
Place 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder in a small bowl. Add a splash of the hot water and mix with a bamboo whisk to form a smooth paste.
Step 3
Add remaining water to bowl and stir with the bamboo whisk, flicking the whisk back and forth, until matcha is incorporated and you get a thin frothy foam on top.

Great value! Very nice quality
This set is a great value. There are other sets on Amazon with less pieces for the same cost.Overall, the stuff that’s actually “useful” are the bowl, the chashaku /scoop, the sifter, the whisk, and the whisk stand. The whisk stand is totally necessary, but it’s nice to sit it on and let it dry there. It also can make it more of a subtle display piece in your kitchen, depending how you have things organized.Everything looks exactly as it is pictured. The cup/bowl is really what had me eyeing this set. I also liked the two-tone aesthetic of the whisk compared to most other whisks that are a simple light bamboo color. This gives it a little more character. It works great too.The sifter works very well with the curvature of the chashaku. You can easily press your matches into it and get a perfectly broken up powder into the bowl.The little duck rest is super cute, but not necessary. It is basically a chopstick rest, though, and could be used for that purpose as well. The cloth is also not so necessary, but can be nice if you’re not the best at keeping the counter clean. It’s a good looking cloth with a traditional Japanese aesthetic.The box and packaging is very simple and doesn’t try to be beautiful. The little paper ‘ribbon’ on the outside if the most lavish thing about it, but this is good IMO. I like that the packaging uses thin/light materials that are easily recyclable and isn’t wasteful. This also surely kept the cost of the package down. It might not make the most impressive unboxing experience, but the set will still make a great gift for anyone who is into Japanese culture, tea drinking, or may want to get into it.

Traditional and unnecessary for the average person
So if you own a tea shop and you want to be traditional then buy this. However for the average person like me it was unnecessary. Just get one of those milk frothing things itâs less time consuming. I still gave it 5 stars because itâs wonderful quality and very beautiful however I returned it and got a 10$ frother

the whisk is good, and the other pieces are great. the bowl doesnât work to whisk the match in bc itâs too small and the bottom is curved as opposed to the preferred flat surface, other than that this is s great set for the value.

Broken bowl, beautiful set
The whole set is beautiful, the reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the little bowl I was so looking forward to use came broken, so Iâll have to buy another one.Other than that I loved everything else.God bless!

My kit arrived 2 days ago, and i love it. The little duck arrived without a beak…but I love it. Everything else is substantial quality. I have made the matcha Encha ceremonial grade tea for my husband and I twice so far, and the kit had everything I needed and more. The tea towel is very pretty with real embroidery (not just printed on). The strainer, bowl, bamboo whisk and ceramic holder, and the bamboo scoop exceeded my expectations. The little duck is so cute, cute,cute….even with a broken beak. If the rest of itâs beak had been in the box, I would have glued it back on. Bottom line, this is a great set for the money, and the little duck has a forever home.

My wife would make a mean matcha latte, unfortunately I’m attending training and wasn’t able to enjoy any until she sent this to me along with some matcha powder. This set is perfect! It has everything I needed to make my very own matcha latte. The Bowl is the perfect size and the wisk and holder are super easy to use and clean. The little spoon and duck spoon holder look really nice on my kitchen counter. Overall a great set with everything I needed.

Functional and pretty
Iâm using this almost every day now, I love it so much. I was using a Swedish whisk and a cereal bowl prior to make matcha in, and I donât know if itâs my brain tricking me or what, but I swear it tastes better with this set. Itâs adorable, and if you want essentially delicious pond water to be pretty, get this. I feel like itâs a good value for the quality, too. It came quite quick but in an unusable conditionTea cup is in pieces like a puzzle, tea powder holder chipped and the whole kit came in a brown box, nothing like that fancy blue on the picture….I am really disappointed it was supposed to be my “push present”(after giving birth to our first baby) and now I have to deal with returns…
