Every grind is consistent and easy to clean as well. Very portable and light. Whenever I’m out on field, this grinder sticks with me.Highly recommend.

Great sturdy build and solid construction – felt “worth the price,” and like it will last a long time. I love the wooden (or faux-wooden?) knob – very ergonomic – and the glass collection jar. Classy! And brushed nickel finish is always better than chrome in my book. The grind is MUCH faster than the last model, as promised, and very smooth and surprisingly quiet. It was easy and fun to use, and produced a nice uniform grind.A few observations:- It clearly wouldn’t be feasible for a regular-sized pot of coffee (84g weighed beans for me), mostly because the reservoir in the grinder seems to hold about 15g. It took four cycles of grind and dump before I had the 56g necessary for a half pot. But if you’re traveling, single, or both, or camping, or if you have babies you REALLY don’t want to wake up with a loud electric grinder, this would be great.- I set it to 3 for drip coffee, but I would call that grind size Fine (ie, espresso size). That said, the coffee that came out of the brewer with the 3-size-ground coffee was smooth and unusually delicious, so maybe I’ve been grinding too coarsely!- It did make a giant static mess with the grounds, as most grinders do – with my electric model, I always add a few drops of water before grinding, and that fixes it without affecting the quality of the brew. Perhaps that could be in the recommendations or documentation?A really nice tool for the niche or craft or small-batch coffee drinker, if not for the pot-at-a-time crowd. Cheers!

The first thing I do not, post a review until I have used the item for several weeks. I do not think you can truly give a good review until you have used the item for a length of time. That said it impressed me: it takes so much less time to grind my coffee than with the other hand grinders I’ve used. My experience grinding it was good, it was smooth and easy to use. It’s suitable for all kinds of grinding: espresso, pour over, and cold brew. It was easy to grind beans to different levels of coarseness. The trick is finding the grind level we liked best for whatever beans we happen to be using at the time. I have taken it camping and it is nice to have freshly ground french press coffee in the morning :)The leverage you get from the longer handle let’s you grind the coffee a bit faster than other hand grinders I’ve used. Of course, the finer the grind the longer it will take. If you want a very very fine grind, it will take a bit of time, but a more coarse grind will take much less time. The only downside (being nitpicky here) that I have found is the amount of beans it holds, so for a full pot of coffee we had to do a couple of rounds of grinding. This grinder was well designed, well manufactured, and well assembled. All the materials used in its construction are high quality and as a result, everything works smoothly, and it does what it was designed to do and what I want it to do – uniformly grind coffee beans to my desired coarseness without a lot of noise and effort. I look forward to using this grinder for many years as it is very well made.

This is a top notch device, thoughtfully created with the highest quality in mind. I searched long and hard for a simple effective handheld grinder that had stainless steel and glass parts, and minimal to no plastic. As far as I can see, the only plastic in this whole well-constructed grinder is the top part where you add the beans. The beans barely spend any time there, as you use this to grind an individual cup’s worth of coffee. The rest of the device is notable for its thick glass receiving canister and its sturdy all-steel cranking handle and body. I am SO glad with this purchase, and would re-purchase it if needed for a gift in the future. Now, I gave it four stars, though it easily could deserve five, but I have a single reason. It may be that the makers made this the size it is for specific “carry along” reasons, etc. Or perhaps, it would lose its good ergonometry if it was made bigger (in which case, that five star rating comes swooping back in, because the size would then simply be the size it *must* be).But my reason for wishing for slightly larger sizing is because: for me, to get enough grinds for my single cup pour-over-cone filter method each morning, I have to fill the device three separate times. This is NOT a tragedy. 🙂 However, it would be great to be able to have this grinder be big enough so that one grinding session yields sufficient grinds for one cup of brew. The only reason I am analyzing this here is because this is the kind of company that cares, and perhaps they will read this feedback. In any case, watch their helpful short video before buying and you will see just how absolutely elegant and easy this grinder is. The actual use of this – the hand-grinding part – is easy and quick and an aesthetic delight.GREAT grinder. Kudos to the makers.

I got this a few days ago and have been using every day to grind my coffee. A few thoughts:-The grinder is easy to use, and as other reviewers have mentioned, it doesn’t take a lot of effort or time to grind the coffee, even on the lowest/finest setting, which makes the coffee like powder!-This is well-made, simple but sturdy. The bottom chamber is thick glass, and comes with a lid in case you want to pregrind and then store for the next day.-The flavor of the coffee is markedly better than when I grind with an electric grinder. I’ve been using my espresso moka pot and it is so tasty!-The only thing I don’t like about this grinder is that it’s kind of small. I have to do two rounds of grinding to make enough coffee for my moka pot. I do enjoy the process/ritual of grinding the coffee, but wish the size of the grinder was just a little bigger so I didn’t need to add beans a second time to keep grinding.
